Wodin...These quotes are in honor of you....

AGENT SHAGWELL

New member
but do you know why?(think about this cause it took me a while to find this shit Wodin!!)

"Who is (WOdin)? Who are any of us? Are we one person fiixed at birth? Do we grow like a snowball comin gdown the mountainside of life, or can we change, shed our skin? The caterpillar becomes the butterfly, leaving the remains of his former self behind. I look at my yearbook photo, Wheeling Central Catholic High School, class of '81, and i wonder who that stranger is. Damn if I know. Maybe that's the point. Maybe we're not supposed to know. Maybe that's whya this earthly joyrid's all about. Like Rober Frost said: "We dance 'round in a ring and suppose, but the secret sits in the middle and knows."

"I can't swear to tell the whole truth. I mean, when push comes to shove, I'd just as soon not go to jail, you know. I don't think I can keep that from influencing my testimony., if only at the subconcious level. You see, (Agent) and I, we've been over what I'm supposed to say and I got to tell you , it's pretty persuasive stuff. But is it the whole truth? It's a slice of truth, a morsel, a refraction. I's a piece of the pie, certainly not the whole enchilada, and now that I'm thinking about it, I dont' think I could tell teh whole truth about anythin. That's a pretty heavy burden, because we all just see the world through this little, distorted piece of Coke bottle. Is there such a thing as objective truth? I wonder. DOn't you?"

"It's a dog. The purest form of unconditional love a man can know."

"There's lots of ways to blaze a trail. I always think back to those unsung heroes of the past. Like that prehistoric gourmet who looked at that lobster and said, "I'm gonna eat that." Or the first healer who
picked up a knife and said, "Let's operate boys." You see, adventures come in all shapes and sizes. Like getting your haircut. Falling in love. Even getting behind the wheel and backing out of the driveway can
be a sublime act of faith, as well as a monumental act of courage."

"Light is knowledge, light is life, light is light."

"There's a dark side to each and every human soul. We want to be Obi-Wan Kenobi, and for the most part, we are. But ther's a little Darth Vader in all of us. 'Cause the thing is, thsi ain't no either/or proposition 'cause we're talking about dialectics. The good and the bad merging into us. You know, you can run, abut you can't hide. My experience? Face the darkness, stare it down, and own it. Its's like brither Nietzsche says" being humans's a complicated gig, so give that old dark night of a sould a hug, and howl the eternal yes."

All of the sudden I am extreamly paranoid and I am not totally certain as to why?

Maybe I am reading to much between the lines, I always have had this knack for pulling together differentiated bits and pieces of information to derive a probable scenrio.

I dunno... WHY?

come on!! That wasn't a good effort....think....I'll give you one more try.....

"Message of the day. Listen up now, because this on's important. Brush those teeth, eat that roughage, pop those vitamins, and wear sensible shoes. Man, we homo sapiens carry around a heavy psychic knapsack: consiousness. We all know we're going to be asked to get off the merry-go-round someday. Best we can do is keep the corpse beautiful, right? And what is the right stuff, anyway, crossing a double yellow on your hog or looking a thirty-year mortage flat in the face? The long haul. I'm going to need some clean undies: got my toothbrucsh, got my library card. What did the man say? A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step, right?"

"A friend once told me that the thing he loved most about country music was its sense of myth. There's heroes and villains, good and babd, right and wrong. The protagonist strolls into a bar which he sees as a microcosm of the big picture. He contemplated his existence and asks himself, "Who's that babe in the red dress?""

Weapon...just as soon as Wodin see's the conection dear (with that pic you could get me to do just about anything;))....or throws out an educated guess based on things we have discussed together:)

"Rain usually makes me feel mellow: curl up in a corner time, slow down, smell the furniture. Today... it just makes me feel wet. What is it about owning things? Why do we feel the need to own what we love, and why do we become such jerks when we do? We've all been there, you know: we want something; we own it; and by owning it we change it. When you finally win that girl of your dreams, the first thing you do is try to change her. That little thing she does with her hair, the way she wears her clothes, the way she chews her gum. Until eventually, what you like, what you don't like and what you change all merges into one. Like a watercolor in the rain."
