wodin - how much do you squat

It depends on how my knee is treating me. :)

Sometimes its just 315 to 425. Sometimes I hit 650 for 6.

I use knee wraps. I have to use knee wraps. :)

My Rhumatoid Arthritis in knees/ankles won't let me go much over 275 for 3 sets without being crippled for like a week..

Glad to know I'm not the only one. Maybe it's more common than uncommon. Aging sux. I have to wrap my knees also. This is the first year that they have given my trouble. I can't even do leg extensions right now. I can see a day where I'll have to stop lifting or just lift very light because of degenerative athritis which probably affects everyone at some point. Wear and tear on the joints, they aren't made to last forever. Mind is willing, but sometimes body isn't. I notice that if I do a lot of warmup sets, I can lift heavier without much pain.

I agree.....I've found that squatting isn't so much more difficult now, its the getting back up part that I'm having trouble with!

I ended a drop set with 335 and I'm happy with that.

My slowdown on the heavy weights started last year when I had to have my Knee scoped. I also have issues with shoulders and back so I'm pretty much not lifting heavy on anything.
I am not ashamed of sitting next to some young dude lifting more poundage than me and him being smaller.
I have found since the pain is not worth it, I lift the weights very slowly and deliberatly and still get benefit on strength.
30 Min of Warmup cardio is also key for me as well as what you said about 2 sets of warmup using light weight for each bodypart.
That and Daily Naprysin ...

My best is 500 for 5, i can't imagine getting under 650.

500 is under 650. So just imagine the last time you did it.

Man, don't tease me...
I've been working non stop without any Vaca and especially fishing for months now..

Blues should start running along the coast in the Surf soon and I'll be on um like a Bum on a ham sandwich...

For me, it's a nice dip of snuff, daylight creeping over the frosty, fall foilage...The faint smell of woodsmoke from the hunting cabin lingering in the air...trail mix, 2 apples, a bottle of water, and a killer book....Gotta love hunting season.....

nice wodin

I've been using a westside barbell template for a while. I just starting doing more free squats because i think that it will help me more in strongman. not sure what my back squat is these days. I do mainly squat variations
