I am close to both of them! I couldn't pick one over the other. My parents are great, IMO!

I love them both equally and get along with them both. I deffinetly am more like my father in temperment and find my life is running along the same path as his. I don't know what I will do when either of them is gone. That is my biggest fear in life right now.

for me it's definitly my mom. my dad is a good person, but we are too different to 'get along' well. and sometimes well, he's just a prick But it's ok, my mom is wonderful and she more than makes up for it.

I have a better relationship with my mom. That doesn't mean it's a good relationship, but I am very disappointed in my father. Whatever, life goes on.

i'm with ya on this one. i don't speak about personal things with my parents at all. never really have. my mom has been a bitch at times. and my dad has been an asshole. (my parents were split before i could remember, 1 or 2 years old probably i don't even know, and i've lived with my mom and visited my dad) eh, it's not a perfect world. what are you gonna do?

My mom and I have a lot of personality traits that clash. I think that we tend to misread each other. It's pretty much been a power struggle between the two of us since I was a very small child. We get along just great now-- as long as I am not living there.

My dad and I are really close. We email each other just about hourly while we're at work. He and I are both more on the silly side. Some weeks every single sentance in every letter we write will rhyme. He cracks me up. It's hard to wriet rhyming letters about changing insurance providers etc. The summer before I moved to college he and I would cry a lot because we didn't want to be apart. Even if he was just going up to the hardware store, from the time I was 2 til I was 20 he'd say "Hey Kate, I'm going on adventures-- wanna come along?". He's the best.

I see my parents at least once a week usually. It's fun to have my little sister (20) home for the summer. We fought like cats and dogs until I was about 20. Now we're close.
