Wiping excess oil off pin with alcohol swab?

Whenever pushing all of the air out of the pin is ok to use an alcohol swab to wipe off whatever excess oil leaks out onto the pin or do you guys just stick it in anyway?

Nah.. if the needle goes in the vial clean, and the solution is sterile you're fine. Makes it slide through easier

How much air do you get? I just started injecting but I don't get much air because I draw really slow from really hot oil..when I inject and aspirate I get air in the syringe though.. I don't worry, it's clean air, and going in the muscle.

Don't ever wipe the pin before injecting.

Wipe it if you like it to sting going in, put as much alcohol on it as you can for more pain.

Why wipe it off? You are just increasing your chance of getting an infection by touching the needle. Plus, the oil lubes up the pin for a smoother inject. Also, you don't even need to get all the air out. Leave a tiny bubble in; the air will push out all the oil at the end and you won't be wasting any.

I never take all the air out of the pin.

Leave in like 1/8th or 1/4th of a cc so that Im not losing that much gear cause its left in the tip of the pin.

that little bit of extra gear isnt worth it to me that much to leave air in the pin.
