Windows XP question...

hey guys i hope your labor day weekend went well, well i got windows XP and i guess i have this function on whenever i type something it will continue it
for example in the search engine: I will start typing something and everything with those letters show up
i will type just the letter "s" and steriods, soccer and other things starting "s" pop up or what ever letter i type in
or on an order form my address pops up right away too,

That is the AUTOCOMPLETE function.....do this!
You need to: You can configure AutoComplete to save and suggest only the information you want. You can choose whether to use AutoComplete for Web addresses, forms, and passwords, or not use it all. You can also clear the history for any of these.
In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Content tab.
Under Personal information, click AutoComplete.
Select the check boxes for the AutoComplete options you want to use.

It's simple.....windows xp is the worst fucking operating system I've ever seen. It's for retards(not that you are), but microsoft tryed to create an os that would be completely perfect with an idiot,....but instead they took control way from the guru.....stupid os.

Not that my answer has anything to do with your question because 98,2000, me all have auto complete......but that's not really what I'm talking about anyways.....get yourself a copy of 2000 or 98, you'll be much happier and much more secure. They've had time to perfect 98 and 2k.

WIndows XP is one of the most friendliest powerful operating systems for a casual user. What do you mean they took away control from the gurus? It was designed to have an easy learning curve while giving the user power to customize various aspects of it. You are just spewing bullshit.... go back to your linux

Good luck with your computer science degree tiger88. I just graduated about a year ago with a bs/cs, but I wish I would have got a nursing degree.....lol. There's no jobs out there. When I first started my degree it was an awesome career field. People were hired before they could even graduate....now we're doing volunteer work, and other crap jobs just to try to stay in the game.
