Windows / IS Errors - My Computer Is Possessed

This computer is possessed. It shuts down for no reason, reboots for no reason, gives me more errors than I can log and seems to have a mind of its own.

Here are some of the error messages it gives me. Short of doing a complete reinstall I've tried everything except the Microsoft patches since none of them were exact copies of the error messages.

I think this happened when Cox [internet provider] installed the newer version of the IE browser. After that things went to hell.

what version of windows and i may be able to help ya out

Windows 98 with Word 2000 [that is the only upgrade module installed].

Didn't have any trouble until Cox upgraded the browser and said it would make surfing the internet "trouble free".

I did what HS suggested and did the second patch / remedy and reinstalled Shockwave. That took care of the blue screen of death and random rebooting [for now at least] but I still get the Explorer and DHHLEP error pop ups.

No, Word has never given me any trouble aside from ocassionally freezing when there system resources are low.

Don;t have the disk for Word 2000 - a friend installed it for me.
