Ok...atm, I am 5'11 and hovering around 185....I haven't lifted since thanksgiving, been really busy...which usually never stops me from working out, but it did...but thats over.
I can only get to the gym 3 times a week...MWF. I have hockey practices for 1 hour on tuesday, 1.5 hours on thurs, then 2 games a weekend (either F,Sat or Sat, Sun). Season ends in the beginning of march, so then I can get into the gym more, but for now I need some advice.
My goal is to lean up, possibly gain muscle (more along lines of maintain) , but mainly to lean up, shed some fat and get more athletic and powerful.
I planned on doing a Rippetoes...3x5 on MWF ( bit modified, cant squat on fridays if i have a game on fridays)
but basically:
Workout A:
Squat 3x5
Bench 3x5
Bent over Row 3x5
bicep triple sets x 3
abs
Workout B:
squat 3x5
military press3x5
deadlift 3x5 ( sets at 50%, 75%, 90%)
Tricep triple setx x3
abs
Then I usually do a 30-40 min run every night...but I am at school on lake ontario in NY and there is around 5 feet of snow on the ground which prevent me from running everynight. I'm going to try and at least run 5 nights a week.
My main question is, will this yield the results that I am looking for?
