Will MLB players strike? Do you care?

If they strike again, which is rumored to happen in August, will you go back to the game again when the strike is resolved? Can the owners and players continue to have labor difficulties and expect the fans to return?

If they strike again I see it as having devastating consequences to the game. Attendance is already down at most parks this year, the talk of contraction has hurt the league, and there doesn't seem to be the kind of record breaking accomplishments this year (home run race) that have helped bring the fans back in the past.

Thoughts?

MLB is on the verge of imploding. I hope it does. Fuck I'm sick of all the bullshit and drama. Lost me on the last strike.

I hope so, I'd actually follow it if they brought in scabs.
I still wouldn't watch it, too boring.

The NFL season was cool with the scabs playing.

The last strike killed my interest in baseball for several years. They do it again, I can't say that I'd regain my interest.

Get revenue sharing, get salary caps, and fix the game.

MLB has us by the balls between the end of May/beginning of June until the first week in September.

What sports options do we have?

Tennis?
Golf?
Arena Football?

Me too, I used to love baseball... I never got back into it after the last strike... I'm in a union, so I know what it's like to HAVE to fight to get good salaries, benefits, etc... These fuckers make MILLIONS to PLAY A GAME and they're whining??? please... My union's motto is, "united we bargain, divided we beg" and for most BLUE COLLAR workers, that's an absolute truth, but for these guys, it's just ridiculous... :doublefi: to all MLB players that go on strike!!!

LMAO at the "should strike every year because the season is too long anyway" That was funny.

Same ole bullshit......... owners claim they aren't making money yet they won't show their books and teams are being sold to investors for 10 times more than they paid for them. Why would someone want to buy a business that failed so miserably??????? These are the same guys that keep signing guys to these contracts.

I am going to be a scab if they strike. Fuck the union it didn't do shit for me anyway!!!!!

"there doesn't seem to be the kind of record breaking accomplishments this year (home run race) that have helped bring the fans back in the past"

too early to start speculating on records.

Listening to Schilling on talk radio yesterday they (the players) have no other options than to strike.
