i got that pic off some other site and i'm not too sure who it is, but he's got once heck of an infection! that is an abscess gone bad!

I withdraw with an 18 or 20 and inject with a 23. I would use the withdraw needle twice but probably not the inject needle.

I would only use it once, I could stand I guess drawing and shooting with the same needle, but never, ever, injecting more than once with the same needle, or drawing twice with the same one. Once that puppy hits the air, it is not sterile, so I would only use once.

I don't think this is correct. You are going through the stopper (1)... (2) you are injecting into your glute. How would drawing from the stopper count, you aren't piercing anything.

So if you draw through a rubber stopper, then inject it would count as your second piercing. One being through the stopper.

I draw from an amp, the tip of the needle doesn't touch anything, then I inject.

you sure it was an abscess? just looks like it has split due to internal pressure (yes maybe from an abscess)

nost of the abscess pics i have seen have necrotic tissue (black, green...nasty as hell)

maybe that one was post op?

I remember that guy saying the doc said it had to be left open to heal the inside and then stiched closed. (He let the abcess go for too long before seeking treatment.)

Also, that picture was taken between wound dressings.

It is an old picture / incident.
