why would your psa go up on anavar

a few guys on the forums have said that one of the sides of anavar, besides the liver thing, was that their psa went up

why would that happen on anavar- i thought it didnt convert to dht, and even if it did, wouldnt it be less of a concern than say test enth, as not only does the test convert more, but guys do larger dossages.

i dont get it.

It doesn't convert to DHT, but it is derived from the base structure of DHT. Anavar is simply DHT oxygenated at the second position and 17 alpha alkylated to survive oral ingestion.

anavar not gonna make u loose hair man its such a mild steriod, u have to take it in real high doses to see negative side effects

bro that is a really hard question to answer. in general the propensity for androgenic alopecia varies from person to person and it is genetic. any androgen can bring on hairloss in those prone. in general since anavar is less androgenic than DHT its should be weaker in this regard. however keep in mind anavar, like winnie, or proviron, reduces levels of SHBG which would increase free T in the system, potentially leading to increased androgen exposure in the target tissues. propecia should block the DHT effect but it would not block the direct effect from the var or T itself
