why was my thread deleted?

i posted a thread last night on how tamoxifin might awaken dorminate hair follicles. why was that deleted???

I didnt see it but my guess would be that there ended up being source info posted in it or something along those lines.

On a side note if your post contained anything against the TOS its gone and posts like this do nothing but waste time and resources.

if someone posted something in the thread, why cant the mods delete or edit that post, and not my entire thread?

my thread had nothing remotely about sources. i simply posted that there was an article in MD about how tamoxifin may awaken dorminate hair follicles.

Unfortunatly when something gets posted that is against the TOS it is often quoted by other members and a flame fest begins. When that happens it can mean that to save the thread, we have to edit half the posts in it and usually by the time we get through them all more people add their 2 cents often quoting the offending post once again and its like shoveling water. Keep in mid we mods do not get paid for this and often have other things going on and may not have the time to sift through and micromanage a thread.

Having said all of that, my recomendation to our members is if you see a post that goes against the TOS, chime in all you like but DO NOT quote the offending material, that just makes the thread harder to save.
