Why was I not hired at Circuit City?

Did you get to the point in the interview where the guy asks you to sell him the pen he's holding in his hand?

What kind of flaming horse shit is that? I had an interview 7 or so years ago where at the end tells me to sell him his pen to demonstrate my selling ability/tactics.

I think if you don't do well on that part and hesitate, etc. they won't hire you. They want someone who is a crackerjack salesman - someone who can sell shit ona stick. They want the kind of person who could sell sand to an Arab.

Go back to the store... quietly walk up to the biggest stack of electronic equipment you can find... grab the base of the stack firmly and pull it towards you... then as everything comes crashing down... hit the ground under the pile and start screaming about your spine... after a big crowd gathers around you and everybody is asking you if you are okay... suddenly stop talking... bulge your eyes... then start to spasm and go into convulsions... drool as much as possible and piss your pants...

...the next day phone 1-800-LarryH.Parker (He'll fight for you!) Tell him all about the unstable stack of electronic equipment that fell on you because of the shoddy stacking that was done by CC employees... also mention the manager who interviewed you by name (he is the guy who kicked you repeatedly in the spine to try to force you to get up when you were under the equipment)... then start to cry and tell Larry, "I only wanted to buy a radio. Now I'll never walk."

Larry will get you more in a week than you would have gotten working for 5 years at the shit hole.

TV's for everyone...Actually I would buy stuff there at the discount then go and sell it on e bay for a few bucks more than what I paid. Even if i got more than $10.00 for what I paid, what work did i have to do to get it. Plus people pay shipping so I make $10.00 just for listing something...Not bad..
