Why was I not hired at Circuit City?

I have a very flexible schedule. I talked to the manager the day I filled out the application and everything seemed ok. I have good work experiance and a positive work ethic with my many good references. I am experianced with electronics, i have worked at a small hole in the wall store selling similiar devices. Why is it that the whole store is staffed by minorities but I cannot get a job? I have alot of sales energy and communicate fairly well. While I was there walking around the store I noticed that I am able to communicate better than 85% of the employees I saw..They were obviously in need of people considering the big sign they had out in front of the store. I am not over qualified but have experiance in almost evey department they were hiring in. I wasnt asking for much ($8.00/hr). Im pissed off.

honestly i don't see why you were'nt hired. with what you say you sound like a good employee. have you tried sears, office depot or office max? they may not be circut city but all sell some sort of electronics.

That place is a piece of shit anyway. My roommate worked for them for about a year and a half. That companie's been headed to bankruptcy for years now. Fuck 'em. They'll drown soon anyway.

Not a flame, but did you have misspelled words on your application? That'll get you turned down quickly in some instances.

No i check my spelling on the application. It's not that big of a deal but I just need an extra couple bucks for spending cash. I really could work anywhere but Im at a loss of ideas of where to go..I will try office max.
