Why stay on for so long? So often?

I was thinking of running a cycle this summer but I have yet to hit a plateau in my training. I think when I hit a wall then I will use something as an aid to get over the mountain.

Why do some of you guys choose to stay on for so long? Do you not get gains naturally? If you don't come off, how can you say that your body isnt dependent on the gear to make gains?

Awwww so noble.

JK bro, you are right with pretty much everything, but some people really can't make gains naturally after they get above a certain point. Also, remember that not everyone uses gear to break plateaus, some people just use it to get to their goal sooner. :)

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I keep extending my cycle because gains are continuing and I have not yet acheived my goals.

I think that most people that run long cycles (as in over 12 weeks) are smart about what they're doing.

I think those guys are the ones getting blood work and health check-ups done on a regular basis.

So provided that all checks out okay, I understand why they do it.

You have a point here!
After a while the (natural) gains are very slow though.
If you have trained clean for a few years or so, and not juiced, you can keep gaining with the right training but so very slow.

why not? health risks? not wanting to die at age 50?

Who says that using AS will make you die at age 50. Seems to me that Arnold is past 50 and going strong.

Who says you won't die at age 50 anyway?

If one knows what they are doing and they are careful, typically there are not problems.

It's really a personal decision, sounds like you have made yours, stay natural.

part death wish mentality (not that it will kill you like everyone thinks in the media)....and part addiction to the whole thing being fun. :) yipeeeee steroids! gimme more! steroids--->:bigkiss:<----Me.

Age is also a major factor,

I am 52 and stay on growth, most of the year and gear at least 7-10 months,

the only reason I have been off gear in the last year, is a number of injuries, requiring surgery.

yeah, us old people got an excuse. :) well, halfway old in my case.

unless someone is looking to compete, then same your nads cause it;s not good.

the rewards hove to outway the potential problems.

You can make greater gains with the proper slin usage, long before staying on gear should be considered

People are on so often becasue they cannot handle shrinking back down to what their natural T levels can support.

I will say this once and be done......ANYONE who is "on" steroids for all or most of the year and doesn't make his living as a pro football player or bodybuilder etc...or at least trying to turn pro...is VERY FOOLISH INDEED and suffers form a serious case of denial and "justification".
