Why ppl on roids are red?

I see it all the time in the gym - people who are juicing always have this red skin, and sometimes it even seems like they are going to go on fire. Why do steroids cause this? Is it dangerous for health?

steroids are serious business. they are the types who don't check their blood work or blood pressure ever, then they hop on gear and it gets even worse. and then they get a heart attack at 40 and wonder why
