Why No Finasteride while using Deca? Where is the logic?

I've read on EF not to use Finasteride while on Deca. Why not? So, if you take testosterone with Deca, you have to live with the DHT?

I know that Deca converts to DHN via 5 alpha-reductase and that DHN is easy on the hair and skin. But nandrolone (before some is converted to DHN) is no worse on the hair and skin, is it? So, Finasteride, by inhibiting the conversion to DHN should only allow more Nandrolone to circulate. Just like with testosterone, correct? So, why is DHN desirable, if it all? In other words, why not prevent conversion to DHN? I'm only saying this in the event you are stacking test and deca and want to prevent test from converting to DHT.

I know that if you are only using deca, you would not need Finasteride. But why is it regarded as BAD to take Finasteride while on Deca (with test)? Anyone think of anything I'm missing? Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.

Huck has a few other posts on the subject, but here's one I found:

Word of caution though:Mixing finasteride with nandrolone is NOT a wise idea,as the conversion process is interfered with and now you are left with full strength nandrolone parking itself on the scalp tissue,and that is quite destructive.

Also, I have read that while you combine deca with test it eases the hairloss from test ... don't know how true it is though.

Well, I'm glad then that I only ordered Xandrox (5% azelaic acid and minoxidil). I'll have DHT circulating but will kill it in the scalp. Thanks.

Which would be better off?

I'll be doin 25 mg dbol ed, 400 mg deca a week and 400 mg test a week....

Would i be better off using propecia or not... if i dont use it then what about the dbol and test hair loss?? If i do use it... what about hte deca+propecia loss... Which would be worse??? Or am i screwed either way... no one can seem to answer this question...

I think you can use the Propecia with deca, to be honest. Nobody ever said that test, rather than DHT, caused hairloss. So, why do people now say that too much nandrolone on your hair is bed if "too much" test, as opposed to DHT, is not bad? If you dont want to use propecia, use the hair topical (azelaic acid) like me. At least, one way or another, you will be combating DHT caused hair loss.

the issue is that that DHN is a weaker androgen than N... so by inhibiting the enzyme you are allowing a stronger androgen to bind to the scalp (as it would otherwise be DHN)..

in theory of course... as it is unknown what binding exactly unreduced N has in the scalp... its just theory.. though it may be backed up by anecdotal evidence of those (including bill roberts and others) that have mentioned this...

Yeah. I saw something on bodybuilding.com that says that DHN is weaker than N and that T is 3-4x weaker than DHT in binding to the androgen receptors in the scalp. So maybe any androgen (including T) can accelerate MPB theoretically but only the strong ones like DHT will actually impact the follicle to any noticeable and irreversible degree. My advice would be take Xandrox or a cheaper equivalent to contain DHT in the scalp. But if DHT is the most notorious and, in fact, the most reported (by medical community) culprit to contribute to MPB, I would rather be stuck with less DHN (and, thereby, more N) and less DHT than more DHN and more DHT.

Or don't take any test and just take deca with another mild steroid like Anavar or EQ. But be ready for deca dick. (If you are single and unattached then who cares?)

i have used proscar for 1 year. during that time used finaject, dianabol, winstrol, testosterone and deca. my hair shed constantly while on proscar and my sex drive went to shit. it also had a weird side effect and made my balls ache. i use only topical solution now from www.wholesalehairproducts.com and my hair is finally frowing back. joe
