like galveston at the turn of the century, like san francisco after the earthquakes, like oklahoma city after the bombing, like new york city after 911, new orleans WILL be rebuilt and WILL prosper.

to be politically blunt about this: President Bush & co. needs this success story to balance out their stupidity in the sand dunes. they f***ed up at the beginning of this nightmare, and will overcompensate and make sure the city is rebuilt. we (the citizens of new orleans) will have to make sure the city is rebuilt in the syle it was before the bitch katrina hit. new orleans MUST not become another tulsa or atlanta or (insert any city other than new orleans).
