Why isn't my computer sound working?

Today I cleaned out some stuff in my house and ended up moving my computer. The sound worked fine when I moved it but once I got it all set back up it doesn't work anymore. I have tried 2 different pairs of speakers. I have checked all the computer settings to make sure that nothing is muted. I have tried plugging the speakers into both of the female plugs on the computer to see if either of them was producing sound.

Any other ideas?

The soundcard shouldn't have any lights...that's probably the NIC. If the computer is relatively new the soundcard should have color coded plugs. Green is for speakers or headphones, pink is for microphone, and blue is line-in.

I tried plugging them into all three. I know it's supposed to be the green one.
