I say it's a fad for now, then it will die down after awhile. You'll still see gay folks on TV, just not as much.

Or you'll have characters that are supposed to be gay, but they tone the gayness way down, until you are left wondering if they are gay or not.

Look at Ellen Degeneres. It's not like she's screaming "Look at me, I'm a lesbian" on her talk show. If you didn't know any better, you'd think she was a straight woman.
