People bash what they don't understand, or *gasp* what they fear they may turn into.....

When an obese person is fine with the way they look, generally, it will make people who judge their self-esteem and the worth of others on their looks feel less "superior", especially if they have nothing else going for themselves.

My father is fat and sits around all day eating chips and drinking coffee and sodas. He is lazy. I understand both sides and I see his pain and the fact that he is afraid to take that step to improve his health. I also understand what it is like to be a little fat and looked at as being "fat".

I am not that lean, ripped, tight faced person that everyone looks at as being "the perfect body." I keep the nickname "fat boy" from a member here on elite that got pissed at me and went on a rampage calling me fat because I was not lean like most of the members here on this board.

Exaclty Bro!!!!! Sometimes I feel disgusted becuase of how bad so many poeple are towards over weight poeple. There are many poeple here that I feel are stuck up or think there inferior to over weight poeple and why? You guys talk about there selfesteam, but what about some of you. Many of you guys workout because I bet you guys feel less of a person if you weren't as fit as you are and that's why so many take up this life style. Don't get me wrong life long fitness is good, but don't let get go to your head thinking your better then others that don't choose to workout. Just like I can make fun of many poeple becuase they use steriods to build muscles, when I don't need to..........many forgot how they got to be in that shape or they'd be that same old person wishing they could put some weight on. GEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope some of your kids grow up fat so you can know how wrong some of you are. Just remeber there poeple just like you. Fit poeple or not so fit can be great individuals. Plus, in the end everyone will grow older and all of us will end up looking less of what we do now.

jen, i know exactly where you are coming from. when i cry over my tub of crisco that i shovel into my mouth, i fear it is society's influence that will make me fat, not my own actions

I have some sympathy for fat people considering I used to be heavy as a child....well actually fat

I was not picked on though except by my family.

the culprit that led to me being fat was simply lazyness

personally I think fat people need some tough love to snap out of their fatness.....but I would not say to the point of harrassment, or abuse.


the worst and the best part about getting in shape if you were fat is how people treat you differently when you get in shape.......I mean they treat you really differently
