Why is profanity allowed on this site?

this is an adult oriented site. notice there is no mickey mouse board, but there is a 'between the sheets'?

should clarify things a bit.
 
yea fuck it. who am i trying to impress. anway, profanity allows for one to add more emphasis to their statement.
 
Take for instance:

"You stink you bad person you." - Well this statement just stinks

Now, we add profanity for the extra emphasis:

"You stink like shit you fucking pussy you." - there is much more feeling behind this statement.

Ha. So you are saying that anyone that curses has a weak, not week as in 7 days of the week, mind? We are all grown ups on the board, and who cares if we choose to use profanity when expressing ourselves.

sorry for the typo I am tired today

proper English is a tool for communication

Slang and profanity is not
its a unsustainable means of communication and is vulgar
and evokeds the base within us
 
I just think most people use profanity because they think it's cool and they can get away with it. They know that it's bad and they love to do bad things without being caught.

thank you for your correction. in some instances, i would have to agree with you. but like everything in life, there is a time and place when the use of profanity would be deemed appropriate. for example, if you get into an argument with a women, there is no better way to end it then calling her a cunt. Now to add emphasis, you should try calling her a fucking cunt. if that doesn't get her attention, then nothing will my friend.

why lower your standards and hence your self by enaging in those types of actions?

utilize the higher power within you, not the reactionary and base.

They say a foul mouth and a blue tongue point to a lack of vocabulary but sometimes other words fail to get the point across with quite the same clarity of mutual understanding.
 
rea life contains profanity and offensive subjects, this board represents a certain segement of society's world.

I agree...I don't mind the profanity, but what makes me "ill" about this msg board are all the immature aholes that talk like street trash.
I've yet to see any intelligent threads or thread not sabotaged by some idiot with a 10 yrs old mentality.
Other fitness boards would not allow or tolerate 90% of the shit posted on this site and many of you bad mouth, bad attitude members would be banned.
Go check out other msg boards where they are actually having intelligent conversations and educational threads.
There really are a bunch of immature unintelligent ppl lurking and posting on this board.
If you want to clean it up, then ban the fouled mouth women hating pigs.

Umm, freedom of speech? For god sake! This is (according to the label) the STEROID and bodybuidling mega site. . .why are we allowed to openly discuss illicit use of controlled substances?? If someone offends you, give them a little red and let them know. I personally don't use it but, I'm pretty sure that's what the red is there for.
 
Once the sheep think outside the box and realize that they are just words deemed bad by a society long gone, things will hopefully change
