Why is my computer scanning my a drive?

For the second time tonight, my computer, while i'm randomly doing things on it, tried to scan the a drive with no disk in it. Hmmmm
 
Your task monitor is probably setup to scan your disk at that time. Just double click your task scheduler icon in the lower right hand corner. It looks like a calender with a clock on top of it. You can reset your task times.
 
no its not running a scandisk or anything, nor is it a scheduled task, it just randomly runs, like if you were to double click on the a drive in filemanager without a disk. Like its trying to read off a:
 
Someone on Elite is trying to post a picture from their A: drive instead of uploading it and using it as a signature picture.

When you enter the thread your computer tries to read a file from your A: drive, he should have the picture saved to a free Elite webpage [or a site that does photo hosting] and accessed from there [either an HTML address or C:/].
