But see I personally, just my opinion, do not consider Eating Disorders a disease either. Cancer is a disease...something that destroys your body beyond your control.

Smoking, drinking, eating disorders are conscience choices.....the individual is the one that took that FIRST drink. They lit that FIRST cigarette. They decided to "purge" the FIRST time. I dont understand how that can be considered a disease

Alcohol is also a genetic dispostion, and I dont' think smoking is. I could be wrong however. And I agree with your point.

I agree!!!!!!!! It sucks watching someone with an addiction deny it and watch them fall apart. See it happen all the time....even with drugs.....it's truly sad.
