I find it hard to believe that a nation ranked 14th in education (the US), is worse than a nation ranked 76th (Columbia).

foreign high schools and most colleges are superior to american.....i know people that take precalculus in 7th grade abroad and calc 3 in high school, while in the US you can get away with taking only precalc through college........as far as a graduate degree goes though, American Universities surpass foreign university, foreign univeristies just dont have the funding to compare to graduate programs in US

This doesn't say the U.S. is ranked 14th in education, it says the U.S. is ranked 14th in terms of what the average age their population stays in school until. That doesn't refer to the quality of the education............

i was talking to some of my co-workers the other day and they said that the education they received in their countries (colombia and panama) is superior than the ones they received in the US. the education in korea is much better than the one in the US also. those three countries are poor when you compared them to the US and yet, their education system is superior to ours. why is that?
