Would admin close a thread in which much useful information was being shared that will help members ensure their freedom?

Was it because the thread starter? FUCK HIM, edit his post and ban his ass but to close a thread where great questions were being asked defeats the purpose of a DISCUSSION FORUM.

I can't give a reason as to why it was closed...but I can give an opinion. I think, as I am sure some others do to, that there are times when one should NOT call so much attention to ones self or to certain problems.
I don' think you would have a problem in posting threads about security and how to stay secure...but still getting so many people in a uproar about whether or not EF will give away your name is a different issue.
I am not trying to flame or start a war...but please allow me to give an example of what I am talking about.

If you look at the newspapers, you will always see adds (last several years) about "consumer confidence" surveys are low, and the economy is in the toilet,ect. People get all down in the mouth and talk about how bad off we all are. But imagine what would happen if the same papers would print big headline news about a great economy and soaring consumer confidence, then I'll bet $100 to a nickel that everyone would be spending money left and right and the economy would actually soar...I do not think it would be a false security either!

I just think that too much attention is being called to ourselves by our own members, EF has security, you can have your own security...educate each other about security but don't cause a general panic about "consumer confidence" ; catch the drift?

I don't think anyone would panic that easily. I see your point, but I do believe that we deserve a reasonable explanation as to why the thread was closed.
