Why does George say pics are open?

When you try to enlarge or open a pic then it say you have to be plat.. Why, if it is now open to everyone.. Elite is a great board but come on, the most I'd pay for this site is MAYBE $3/month.. Just wondering why it says its open to everyone when its really not???
