Why Do You Think Mike Metzer(sp) Died?

I mean I heard it was liver failure and heart problems. Did he just cycle all the time with no break or what? Also what were his dosages like?

did u see the pics of him before he died. He was extremely overweight and i can only assume that his drinking and smoking didn't help either.

Mentzer had alot of problems. He had been hospitilized on and off for psycological reasons. He was reported to have a real problem with prescription drugs.

If you read his writing, you can see a glimpse at his genious and his bouts with insanity!

Mike - Did we forget about Ray. He died 2 days later

Mike - Heart probs
Ray - Kidney probs

Makes you sit back and think.

Keep this bumped for anyone who might have details. The article in M & F never tied either to steroid abuse but Heart/Kidneys: is there a connection. But then again both of their parents died before they were 50 too, so you tell me. It is definatlely something to think about.

The Mentzer Brothers they were awsome in their time, but they had alot of disappoinments. (how often do you see brothers both look so good.)

I just looked at some of his pictures on the net. IMHO I think his body looks better that Colemans or some of the other modern day body builders.

The man was nearly insane, but all brilliance is. He was a speed freak. He used amphatamines reguarly and heavily. He used his fare share of drugs(non AS drugs) and that probably had a good bit to do with it along with a pre-existing genetic disposition towards these complications.

As I understand it, the health problems that took out Mike and Ray were conditions that ran in their family.

Mike did get messed up on speed (been there, got the T-shirt) but I think he'd conquered that addiction some years before he died. I hope so. Ain't nothing worse than becoming dependent on speed.

years of juice, with cocain, with narcotics, with speed, with alcohol, with cigs, with family history and personal history of heart problems= early death.
