Why do people have MySpace accounts?

I just don't understand the appeal of it.

I can understand searching for old friends and trying to reconnect. But other than that - why would I want to "be on MySpace"?

its kinda cool , just to get glimpse of peeps life . there are alot of ef peeps on there also lol.
 
You can download music! I have downloaded and saved many of my favorite songs.
 
I keep in touch with family, friends, co workers, and get local tang. I definitely talk to people more frequently than I would without it.
 
I am able to stay in touch with a lot of people quickly and I even hook up sometimes off of it. Two good things to outway all the people giving me a hard time for being 30 and on it.
 
I know some girls who thought myspace was immature and lame, and those same girls now have pages.. lol! Tom is one rich bitch, im glad he is my friend!
 
I admit going out and finding a friend and following the 'Rabbit' hole of friends can be a bunch of friend... see how all these people you know and either know or had know idea that they knew each other all web together is pretty fuggin cool.

If you don't know how to do that, you=teh suck.

But... I couldn't ever let myself get caught up in creating an account and going nuts. My psycho ex - the one I got a restraining order against - has a page on there and my wife and I tracked in for quite some time and just gathered up everything we could. It kept us ahead of her BS and provided alot of fuggin ammo should we have needed it. Now my wife has an account as well. Whore. I refuse to look at it, as I am sure I'd become an emotional wreck.

2 of my recent former girlfriends would rip on myspace with me when we were dating....friends have sent me links to the myspace pages for both girls now.

tee hee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not doing what everybody else does is not easy

Same reason people create their own websites, only without the hassle. Plus everyone has their site in the same place, making them easy to find. I have both.

As well, just to see sometime people online can be just as dumb ass online and offline.. or vice versa.

Reading blogs are favourite because it chance to see their character a whole diffferent way.
 
Mine at first was for shits and giggles but I found a few old girl friends through myspace. So I kept it.

Networking tons of people in the fitness indusrty on it from other competitors to photographers and even some sponsers.

I knew it was a networking thing for musicians (how it started), but did not realize it was for other things too.

It's a good place to find dates without paying for a dating site.

It's a good way to inform people of events such as a party/cookout without much effort (just post a bulliten)

I saw a friend I do not have a phone number for. We talked about skiing and instead of exchanging numbers I simply said "send me a myspace message" because I hate talking on the phone.

There are advantages.
 
my last 5-6 dates came from myspace. People I prolly wouldn't have met from towns around me. You can do a search of people within so many miles of you.

Plus some old friends from high school, even junior high that moved away were able to get in touch with me.

agreed. I was one of those that thought myspace was so stupid but now it is a good way to keep up with everyone without having to call. I work on a phone all day and I found that I didn't call many people at all because I just can't stand to be on the phone. music features are good also

I have a myspace account. have been having mine for well over a year now. I met my boyfriend on myspace. Its a cool way to keep in touch with old friends, find new friends and maybe even meet that special someone.
 
myspace is a cool way for all the girls who sweated me from first grade to 12th to realize that i'm still unbelieveabley gorgeous..

Well MySpace is not a dating website. Doesnt work the same way and it wasnt made to be one in first place. So looking for pussy must suck and take a while since you cant be very specific in your search. Anyway one of my employee is a big online dating maniac and he said that thing sucked more than anything when it came to dating.
