Why Do Chics Dig Bouncers?.......

the power of the position, my good looks, my great body, my hair, my smile, the fact that I don't wear underwear at work...

I could go on

Cause you're suppose to be "cool" and also cause of the money involved. At least thats what I realized with Dj's I would always have a bunch of groupies for no reason. Other vets in the business said chicks knew Dj's were making huge money.

I couldn't imagine working without any underwear! That is absilutely nuts dude. Careful now!

HI,
You've lost you mind.

Super,

Money? Is it that good? Maybe I should make a career change.

DJ's do make some green but door guys make the most. That job is the best. Many perks but the one bad thing about it is the face to face confrontations, in numbers. You work at any of the places in Cananda, adult clubs to be specific?

Manny,
Your right man, it's all about being cool. The other dudes look at you like, "I could take em". lol. The chics look at you and know that there are reasons why you are so confident....etc....

HI,
Where do you work?

I heard that "money" is supposed to pay for things that I heard some people call "bills"?..........

Easy way to make some cash, vent out some aggression, and meet some people.

HI,
Where do you work?

A local college night club/bar...

its not a bad gig, we get a few fights if we mix townies and college students. And band nights are the worst. I work on an average of 4-5 nights a week which is not bad hours, and the staff is all really close in a family type of way.

good times working at a bar, and yes alot of girls hit on you not to mention the bar groupies that come in everynight to flirt with the staff, def. stay away from those sluts.

because these women are Bar fly's, this is like saying how come people ask wal-mart employees were stuff is....because they work their, and they are there every night. why not get to know them? plus these women have been drinking. so they think they have some sort of power over people, which they do in this bar were they hide behind them yellow staff shirts :D most the time it has nothing to do with looks or personality that a female will come on to a bouncer. why are some people extra nice to cops? because they have power...same with bouncers, but the bouncers power is limited to there working environment. i have seen a lot of the time it's under age women that are doing this, i wonder why that is?

I know why they dig you Polish, it's because they think your cute when you walk in with your A-Team lunch box and tight rolled jeans. Haha, instead of a tool box, your a lunch box!!!!

I'm dying....

You get the award for the best one today. Karma to you!!!!!!!!!!
And Hannibal, if I need anything I will come to you. How much do you want to bet that this will become an A-Team thread now? lol.

BIG guys provide a sense of security and protection. That's why bouncers aren't 140 lb skinny guys...even if they are blackbelts, they wouldn't cut it as a bouncer. Size is what will deter idiots. Girls like to feel safe and protected, weather they admit it or not.

Big guys also remind me of teddy bears...the kind I could hug on all night when I was a little girl. I think it's that sense of security feeling. I still have my teddy bear that I got when I was 3 y.o., only now it gets hugged on all night by my daughter.

Well I'm talking about Montreal but its the same in Spain and I thought it was too in the US but DJ's usually make a lot more. Bouncers get an average of 100-200$ while Dj's (not a shitty pub dj) will make between 150-500$ depending on the kind of music, the exposure the club will get blablabla..... I've done both and yes money was better as a DJ. ANyway they all make money buseboy, bartender, bouncer, DJ.....

As a DJ I started working in the mid 90's in dance clubs playing big boom boom shit and at some raves.... I finally went back to my real passion, hip hop in 1997.... now I work sometimes in special parties and thats enough for me.

As a bouncer I mostly worked at one shithole, a real one, full of big wannabe (blacks for the majority of them), lotta fights and shit I worked alone except for 3-4 times. Was making 250$/night at the end but man is it worth that money when you make regular trips to the emergency room ?

Read my post right above. Sincerly do you wanna spend the next 20 years of your life with smoke, drunkheads, getting back home drunk with somme groupie slut...... ?

Manny,

Not at all man. I plan on doing it for the next couple years until I am done with Grad school. It is a real easy way to make a couple extra dollars.

Quebec must have been crazy. A lot of adult entertainment up there my friend. Which I am sure you know about. Europe is a cool place to be period.

Care to share any good stories?

Wrong stupid dickhole!!!

For the record, the movie was Rambo II.

Does anybody know who the bouncer was @ Conty's. He might have gone by the nickname "dork". I remember this guy from college and he was pretty serious.

You mean the dude with the 5 head and long face, his name was Johnny Serious. Great guy, little weird though!!!

Was his name Aquaman? No, it was johnny Serious. What do you mean by 5 head?

5 head means it's an extension of the 4 head, his 4 head was so big, it's considered a 5 head, hence, he could use his 5 head as a bill-board. get it??

I got it hammer. He had a dome and a half. I think he used to work @ Circuit city selling carrots.

Manny78,

You speak the truth. Anybody looking to be a tough guy should read his post real quick. As a DJ you definitely had to have jumped out from the booth to help the boys out every once in a while didn't you?

Thanx for bringing the realness to this thread.

First off I find that the larger guys are never that big of a problem.

sure you get your group of juiced tough guys that find a need the challenge you, but for the most part the little guys talk back and act out the most after a couple of drinks.

I have had two real altercations this year, one in which I really kicked the shit out of some kid...

other then that I am a chill bouncer, and let people have fun.

So SuperMess, what you gonna do when I bury you? Not a whole lot, cause you're gonna be on the ground bleeding to death with broken bones from head to toe!!!

As a DJ yes but only in the last year when I had a respectable shape and most important, completed security classes. I always had ASP baton on me. Not matter what I was doing in the bar.

As a bouncer I was working with a very special crowd Kind of "straight outta Compton". I would spend most of my time at the door, asking for IDs, denying access to some retards.... But once in while (or to be honest once-twice a night) the bartender would call me on my cellphone. I saw everything possible. A guy stabbing a client, another one (a football player) punching a very nice chick on the face for no reason (that day I realized how great a 5-D maglight was ...lol), 5 guys from an haitian street gang (Beaux-Gars) threatning the bartender at 3:15 AM cause he couldn't serve alcohol (Pepper spray can do miracles).....

At the end I was working with the following items: Bullet proof jacket, ASP baton or Maglight or PR-24 (depending on my mood), handcuffs, combat boots, Pepper spray and Taser.... funny right ?

You mostly find that the DJ/bouncer groupies are in the 18-21 age bracket, which is fine if you're that age and on the same mental wavelength.

As for money, personally, i wouldn't bother getting out of bed for $250/night.

Manny,
That's some real shi* man. I can't believe it got that bad for you. I would imagine that you are out west somewhere because of the reference to the NWA looking crews. Sounds like some serious shi*. Wow. I keep on reading those items you carried on the job over and over. Damn. Thank you for sharing that though, a lot of people would take bouncing lightly. Sometimes, depending on the situation, it can be interesting. I have faced a couple situations with people pulling out knives on me. Bar stools thrown @ me along with any other item you can think of. Just classic bar room brawling for the most part. Nowadays though, everyone wants to be a tough guy. Everyone wants to throw the first punch. Noone wants to take the punch. Most of the guys that try to fight me don't realize untiul it is too late. I have an extremely neat appearance. I guess it works to my advantage.

HI,
Your definitely right about the people who fall into the "tough guy class". I generally find that guys under 6 foot are my biggest problem. Napolean syndrome I think they call it. These guys are unbelievable. I have a buddy who goes to school down where you are. If you knew him he would tell you all about it. We have been in some situations together. It's always the little guys. Why are the bigger guys so humble. Is it the fact that we can handle our liquor? Or the fact that we have taken our lumps and know what is smart and what is stupid?

It's not called humble, it's called being a pussy. The Big Guys are scared, they don't want to get knocked the fuck out by a smaller dude like myself. As far as handling liquor better, c'mon dude, we were all alcoholic's in college, everyone could hold their liquor...well except Charlie Jello-Shots!!!LOL

The items I carried were very useful, and I would recommend to anyonne working in a tough bar to have one or more of these. The PR-24 is not that easy to use. You need to take a class on it. It's 16 hours. Once you get the trick, believe me, it's a lot better than anything else I had.

You're right about the small jerks. 90% of the time, the troublemakers were guys under 5'10. Most of them were doing shit in gang. Once alone, they weren't the same. If you face 3 or more tough nerds, try to identify the leader. I would always go for him first, then the rest would simply run away.

Manny,
Exactly right about taking out the leader. If you cut the legs off, the body will fall. A simple rule of thumb for us all. 16 hours is some class. You sound a lot like a retired officer now working as a private security agent. I have a couple friends that do that and have similar experiences. Am I right?

I know exactly what you mean Manny. Good shi*. I am working my way there! lol. I am sure I will end up that way.

anyone else??

how about some other bouncer's views on this subject?

casevette, watcha think about the magnetic appeal b/t bouncers and hot, horny gals?

corn, did u ever do the bouncing gig u were talking about?

I currently bounce at a nightclub.......although I'm a little old to be doing it (29). I am ex-military and have found the training to be very useful in my current part-time occupation (I went back to school).

If anything, working in a bar helps me relieve many different forms of frustration.

If I'm in abad mood and you need to be ejected from the bar...:)

Fun and games

I work with a couple guys that are just as and older than you at the place I work at now. We need those guys and love them as brothers. They have seen and been through the wars. Knowledge is king and we all benefit from their good and bad experiences.
