Why CARING has so strong meaning in the U.S.?

I mean it is used a lot as a slogan. Do you think it's so common "to not give a shit" that it makes a phrase like "WE CARE" to stand out? I think in Finland where I live it would sound pretty corny for a company to say that "WE CARE" EVEN though it has of course a good meaning originally.

Ok, this is not any communist shit I'm just interested.

"We Care."

We are the world's big brother and police. We do this, because we care. Not only do we care of just the American people, but all of the people in this world, aside from terrorists at this point.

We Care, and show it.

No offense, but what the fuck does Finland do??? I think this is the first I've heard of your country since I graduated High School. No offense intended.

Finwho???

Kinda, kinda not....we have done really good things and some really bad things too.

Guys, guys.... I didn't mean this from any philosophical or humanitarian sense... but I've seen the slogan imitated and mocked in some movies and jokes. Like I said I'm just interested... I would be interested also why they say so if for example Chinese would advertise something with "We lick your balls profoundly" :D :D :D

SSSHHHH!!!! FRACKAL!!!

Don't blow our damn cover!!!

We do what is best for the greater good, no doubt. We wouldn't be where we are today if that wasn't the case. Yes,
we have done "bad" things. However, those "bad" things were pertinent to our greater good. Dropping the A-Bomb and so forth.
In order to be great, you have to be willing to do great things.

Great in the cotext:
1 a : notably large in size : HUGE b : of a kind characterized by relative largeness
3 : remarkable in magnitude, degree, or effectiveness <great bloodshed>
9 : markedly superior in character or quality;

The Roman Empire did great things. Hence, they survived the longest out of all other's thus far. When they ceased to do so, their existance ceased.
