why are we threatening to veto palestine?

The U.N recognizing a palestinian state doesn't mean shit to the Israeli's so why do we care? The U.N already can't stand Israel and basically just smiles to our face. All we're doing is setting up another "we against the world" scenario and for NOTHING. It's not like all of a sudden Israel is going to change anything they're doing just cause palestine gets recognized by the U.N. So why are we interjecting our nose yet fucking again in shit that doesn't concern us?

Because our moron president wasted all his international credibility on empty speeches, drones in Pakistan (and Africa now, as well), and Libya. So guess what? Barry will probably cast the veto vote himself -- just sending a lackey to do it.

Even Bush was smarter than this. To be our supergenious president, Barry ain't too swift.

No. Bush would have done exactly the same. The US Gov't, both parties, have a hard-on for Israel. There must be some reason why we continue to suck their cocks, other than the weird confluence of Zionists and Evangelicals.

I'm not sure that Palestine is going about this the right way, but the US is probably on the wrong side of this issue. Kind of looks like 1948 all over again, the Israelis were impatient too.

US should abstain from the vote instead of exercising the veto.

International Credibility was lost 10 years ago sport. And drones have been hitting many more places than that for the past 20 years.... Now all of a sudden its all bad right?

I'm not objecting to the veto. I'm objecting to Barry blowing his international capital on empty rhetoric, so now he's forced to double-back on his position.

And yes, Bush was smarter than that.

Barry was supposed to make the world love us though!

Something about "if you will unclench your fist" comes to mind...

I don't follow this statements logic in the slightest.....were you tired when you wrote this? He's gonna cast the vote himself but then send a lacky to do it? I don't follow. Plus as someone already said we've been using drones around the globe for years now, nothing new in their application whatsoever. And I don't see how he has elevated nor really denigrated international credibility...we never had it never will. And further what does it have to do with us vetoing the palestinian vote? At no point in the last 50 years was this going to go over well in the international community because most people around the globe have not been able to stand Israel for most of the time since their inception as a state. I agree it's a stupid move by Obama but it's not one i have any faith that any president of ours in the last 60 years would not do as well. Obama is probably doing the best he can to side with Israel while not running his mouth too much which is something Bush would certainly have fallen into. Evidence of that just look at the marvelous job Perry is doing giving out rimjobs to Israeli officials who will come stand behind him during campaign speeches. Even a conservative wrote that this is unheard of for a presidential campaign to roll out govt. officials from another country. The joos aren't even hiding their attempts anymore at influencing american foreign policy.

I wait in eager anticipation of the day the middle east countries have it out with Israel. The whole place goes up in smoke and I will be beaming, pinky swear.
