Why are threads being locked?

This bord discusses things like rape, incest and various other stupid inflamatory subjects like racism. But guess what, that is freedom of expression if you lock a thread like the one "America sucks" Ten you are limiting a persons right to express him/her self because it inflames you. But guess what, America does not suck at all, but if you prevent people from talking about that topic then you undermine the very base of what makes America Great. Inflamatory or not. Some mods need to grow up.

But the attitude of locking threads is distinctly communist in nature. Remind you of your home land? Mr Stupidowsky?
 
We lock threads when the board is slow, or boring....We know once a thread is locked, all the whiney little chuckle heads will begin posting like mad....It livens things up a bit...

I think you have a point.....I don't agree with what the guy posted and I think it was a bit insensitive but i have seen far worse posted on these boards.

Just my 2c.
 
I agree. The thread was not "out of control". It could of been a valid discussion.

Someones Bias should not influence whether-or-not a thread should be locked.

stupidowsky? Where did you learn russian, from watching rocky & bullwinkle? That wouldn't surprise me, as the 6 minute cartoons are perfect for those of us with advanced ADHD.

It's actually the very opposite of communism. If you're gonna use big words, best to know their meanings.

EF is a dictatorship, albeit a benevolent one IMO. That means there are no freedom of speech guarantees here. Your posts will be read by others who have the power to alter or delete them as they see fit. If that's unacceptable to you, you do have the freedom to leave.

1. Mention May1010 in a posotive manner.
2. Mention RyanH in a negative manner.
3. Go against popular opinion.
4. The failure to lie about how big you are (we're all 6'2'' 230 @ 8% BF).

Yep - those are the main ones....
 
I know that people like sofageorge makes it look like negative Yohimburn threads or posts get deleted automatically here. But that's simply not true. The posts that get deleted are deleted because they break the rules here. I searched through the posts about Yohimburn here and sofageorge has 37 negative posts about Yohimburn that are still on the boards. Now if he has 37 posts about Yohimburn how can he say all his posts are deleted? It's simply a lie. He had a dozen or so posts deleted because he was calling macro a scammer which besides not being true is totally against the rules here.
Competitors of Yohimburn like to come to Elite and post about their products or have their buddies do it on the Yohimburn threads because they know people interested in fat burners are reading and they might sell a bottle to one. This again is totally against the rules here. Anabolic Fitness pays to be a sponsor of this board so we get a little more leeway with answering posts about our product. No one else pays a fucking dime. The competitors come here and leech off the threads about yohimburn and then when their posts get deleted start crying about it like they have some right to break the rules.
Anabolic Fitness is the ONLY company to ever pay George for using his board.
Also, there are over 100 negative posts by others still up. But there are 1000 positive posts.
