Why am I getting IM`ed alot?

In the many years I`ve had it, I must have been Instant messaged a handfull of times. But recently I`ve been getting about 5 a day!!!

I have`nt done anything differently from the usual stuff. Could it have been a SINGLE website I went to that triggered all of this? How do I stop it?

I never accept the IM`s I just "ignore user" and they`re always different people. Once in about 20 I accept when the name is semi ordinary. lol Then delete and NEVER have answered to them.

Have`nt tried it. What would that do? I don`t really need the service. It`s just a hassle when I get IM`ed from people I don`t know for solicitations.

My only concern was that I suddenly got a lot of them all at once and they don`t seem to be stopping.

you can go to ur preferences and block unsolicited IMs from everyone but who is on ur friends list.........its in privacy i believe.

This is the reason that I closed off my list on AIM. The idiots that I seem to attract are just... amazing.

I use it, I like it, the voice communication works better than AIM or yahoo.

They just need file sharing on it though.

Also I don't think it alerts you when a friend comes online.
