Why All the Mod Bashing?

And it has nothing to do with me being a mod, I have not done one moderating action since mod inception, just have not seen anything that deemed it, not sure that I will. Some people take certain things a bit to personal and most definitely certain actions taken by mods in the past and present have had a grand amount of injustices. No one is perfect. Just understand that they don't, especially when its blatantly obvious and consistent.

Now the above can be attributed to most in respects to not being perfect, actually all people. Guess the reason I say this is because it seems that sometimes some members just instantly separate themselves from mods. We are all members. Isn't that correct? Supposed to be a family at Elite (family members have differences). The impression is giving that you are angry with a mod or mods just because of the "moderator" title under there handle. Just a form of segregation in a way that I notice from time to time. We all segregate in some fashion. It just creates unwarranted drama. No mod ever totally and visually seperates his/her self on the board by starting a thread like "Mod only poll: Who is the worst board member" or "Hey Mods, why do board members suck" or "Mods are better, board members are not", thats the level I am seeing from time to time. Now maybe I am way off here, its just a trend I have noticed since I have been a member here at Elite. My question was "Why All the Mod Bashing" Maybe its warranted, I don't know, just curious as to what everyone thinks. peace

p.s. you might want to start excising along the middle phalanges of the 2-5 fingers on the palmar surface in order to accomplish this task.

Personaly, I don't have a problem with any of the mods here. One of them is a very good friend as a matter of fact.


I will say this.

I think some mods could prevent some of the issues that come about, by simply explaining their actions in a courteous manner. When something is deleted or editted, just explain the reasons, don't take it personal that someone asked why it was editted/deleted.



I think that a moderator is doing his job when nobody notices that he is a moderator. They do their job in a very quite, professional manner. They don't air dirty laundry about pm's or anything discussed in private. Respect is a two way street, and sometimes being in a position of authority means you have to have a thicker skin than others. It might mnot be fair, but life is not fair.

I think the mods have done a stand-up job all-in-all. I hope my post was not interpreted as mod bashing. One bad apple does not spoil the bunch in this case, in my opinion. Who knows? That one bad apple may have been having a bad day and I'm as forgiving as anyone.
 
Well, most mods here are great. I had a little stupid "arguement" with one the other day, but we both can to an understanding. It was over something stupid and he was actually the better man, by pretty much asking this to come to a resolve. So, as far as I'm concerned I have more confidence in MODs now because of him. EF overall is the shit. I pitty those who don't belong to our fam

Here's some of the main reasons why I think members like to target mods:

-ertain members don't like other members and it pissed them off that they achieved modhood.

Members are jealous of them because they believe they deserved modship instead.

You don't see the reasoning behind someone being appointed a mod.

You never heard of this person before their name popped up under moderators.

Shady dealings by mods(mostly anabolic) percieved, rumored, or otherwise.

Post editing, moving, deleting based on the mods reasoning or opinions and not under elite's TOS.

The fact that certain members routinely have their posts edited, deleted, moved when similar topics are ingnored or permitted to remain because of mod affiliation or otherwise.

The grey area of the TOS and the mods' morals coming into play when deciding to moderate a post or thread.

People have a problem with authority on any level.

People like to bitch about anything.

People like the attention of calling out a mod.

The fact that the modship is based on a series of blowjobs to determine who makes the final cut.

The fact that honorably discharged mods recieve a nice pention and retain all of their original medical benefits and a lifetime platinum membership.

Big "crap" words...... They arent hard words my friend, and though I do check my anatomy literature every so often most of the words you see me writting come back from my memory.

Perhaps it is hard for you to believe someone can apply such "crap" words to everyday life. But who cares if you believe me, because if I tell you that your foul, tasteless language sounds like "shit" and that it lacks originality, would you care about it?
 
I've never had a problem with any of the mods. I think they do their job as well as can be expected considering, as havoc said, we're all human.

My only criticism would be that there seems to be about twice as many mods as are needed.

Sorry, I think you misunderstood.. I was addressing you as "Big Words McGee", thus the capitalization. I may not be a wordsmith on par with the EF greats like Kayne, but give me a little more credit than that.

Anyhow, I still suggest a new gimmick. Perhaps working the word "futon" into every one of your posts.

THX J-DAM. ITS NICE TO BE NOTICED SOMETIMES. LOL I HAD TO MEMORIZE 80 WORDS EACH WEEK FOR ENGLISH HONORS IN HIGH SCHOOL. NOT MUCH USE FORM 95% OF THEM NOW.
