right now i am gonna say Martin Lawrence. i cant believe people are still letting this guy play the major role or part in movies. did anyone here see that movie where he is a knight in ancient times. i didnt but i can tell it sucks from the previews. post your actors but make sure it is someone we will recognize and not some no name.
 
Three years ago i would have said the biggest name worst actor was Keanu Reeves, but i have seen him do a few good films since then. Steven Segal is now at the top of my list.

Billy Baldwin. I'm pretty sure that he and Pauly Shore were in the worst movie ever made, "Bio Dome."

Yep that's who I was gonna say. That man has got to be one of the worst actors. Some of his movies would have been a hell of a lot better if someone else played the role

Eddie Murphy sucks now-its a shame because he was great at one point same with Chevy Chase.

Also Tom Hanks has always sucked-I cant figure out how a chicken with 11' arms got so popular.
 
any guy who's played anakin so far is the worst, overall in bad acting skills is arnold for sure as much as I hate to say it.

He had a couple good roles (Face Off, Con Air, Moonstruck, Leaving Las Vegas) but his new stuff lacks alot.

Definitely Keanu Reeves. He's been in some good movies, yes. Ones in which he was not required to do anything but stand around and look moddy while others acted around him. The Matrix - excellent film. Shitty performance from Reeves, but it didn't matter.

Seagal is a crappy actor BUT he is a top-notch aikidoka so I have some time for him...

I thought Bringing out the Dead and Family Man were both pretty good jobs on his part. If you don't like the movie thats another thing. Oh well, to each's own.

I always thought of his acting as fake and unnatural. I have not seen him do a role that fit him yet as he has no acting qualities al all. At least some of the actors mentioned here, who's acting skills are questionable have found their nitch and get type cast (Arnold) and are good at what they do. But Nicolas? Man what a joke.
 
Although it kills me to say it because of her looks, Natalie Portman is one shitty actress. Anybody who has seen Episode 2 knows what Im talking about.

Yep, definitely true. She still wasn't as bad as the guy who played Anakin though. He was just fucking horrible. The acting in that movie is the worst I've seen in a long, long time.

I haven't seen the movie but based on your input, can I safely assume that the movie wasn't that great?
 
I personally enjoyed the movie, the only acting that was really that bad came from Natalie Portman and the kid that played Anakin. Ewan Mcgregor actually did a very good job in the movie. The fight scenes were badass and it was definitely better than the phantom menace. So I'd def. recommend checkin it out.
 
natalie portman is waaaaaayyyyyyy too sexy for me to say anything about her acting skills, as is Denise Richards. On the actor side, I personally think nick cage is an awesome actor, and keanu wasn't bad at all in the matrix, but im gonna have to say that woody allen makes me angry just looking at him. I guess his acting skills aren't that bad, but I just can't stand to watch a minute of his movies,
 
Some of you guys are basing your opinions on the last few years of performances from some of these actors.

Leonardo -dont get me wrong I cant stand the fucker but he is a very good actor.Ever see "The basketball diaries" or "Whats eating Gilbert Grape" ?

Adam Sandler may not be able to do Hamlet but him & Jim Carrey have made me laugh my ass off so they are fine with me.

Tom Hanks is a great actor in "Philadelphia" ,"Forrest Gump" & "Saving Private Ryan"

Keanu is not the greatest but has gotten real lucky with the roles he has had.

I think the worst are Pauly Shore cause hes not even funny when hes suppose to be,Darrel Hannah, & Luke Perry of course Oh yeah Tupac really sucked too.
 
That Haley something kid from AI and Sixth Sense- he is just fucking annoying. Michael Anthony Hall (Weird Science, Breakfast Club anyone?) now sucks dick (literally). And don't forget Macauley Culkin.

Come to think of it 99.9% of all child actors suck donkey dick. Exception- Natalie Portman, ever see her in the Professional? That was her first role and she knocked it out of the box!

Anyway, 99.9% of all actors are completely type cast, that is they only play variations of their true selves or one role and have very little real talent or range, just looks.

Al Pacino and Gene Hackman and DeNiro (can you say NO RANGE?) have sold out BIG TIME and also easily make the list based on their last 10 years of work. OOOH Ha!

And the Absolute Worst of All.... Tom Cruise with Keanu a close second.

Let's make it tougher- list the top 10 actors (Talent and range, not gross revenues)

In no particular order:
1. Val Kilmer (check out the range of his roles, psycho intense on the set too, I've heard)
2. Sean Connery (always a pretty safe bet)
3. John Cusak (some really bizarre roles played well)
4. Danny DeVito (good range for short, funny-looking guy, also produces most of his stuff)
5. Robin Williams (that is, up until recently. Has had some excellent dramatic roles)
6. Dustin Hoffman (hasn't sold out yet, HUGE range)
7. Tom Hanks (benefits from fantasic scripts and characters)
8. Harrison Ford (weakening lately, but look at his early range. Seriously, the Indiana Jones series defines Oscar- the man developed and portrayed a character completely and convincingly)
9. Mel Gibson (more than just a pretty face)
10. Ashley Judd (getting better each time and caliente hot!!!)

My worst list would probably be:

Bill Paxton
Christopher Walken (lately)
Angelina Jolie

So instead of asking who is the worst actor we should be asking what are the worst roles these actors have been in.

Yes, I agree. He looked like he was wanting to be somewhere else. I thought his role in Enemy of the State was near perfect. I heard Hackman was voted least likely to succeed in his acting class. That and the fact that he recently made headlines by getting in a fistfight with two other men in a road rage incident and he did pretty well for himself.

Good call about actors' worst roles.

I didn't hear about the road rage incident, but that's interesting. I love Gene Hackman primarily for "Hoosiers" and "Unforgiven" and other movies so I'll overlook his turn in "Behind Enemy Lines."

Another one is Robert DeNiro in "15 Minutes."

Now being a male I finally saw "3000 Miles to Graceland" and Courtney Cox is fucking HOT.

Nicholas Cage has to be one of the worst actors to ever set foot in Hollywood.

Strangely enough he has starred in some of the better movies to come out of Hollywood.

It's Steven Baldwin. That movie was actually watchable, but it definitely wasnt up for any Oscars. Brendan Frasier would probably get my nod, with the exception of his acting in the Mummy series.

Assuming you've seen and understand the 4 movies put out before it, it is a GREAT film. The acting by the character who played Anakin was subpar, but not horrible. The script is solid and the stadium scene with the bugs and Jedis is quite possibly the greatest action scene ever, with close competition from the scene in The Matrix where Keanu and that bitch go in to free Morpheus and the first 15 minutes of Saving Private Ryan. Also, Jar Jar Binks PUNK ASS is only in the movie briefly so you can safely go see it. Ep 1 was like the goddamn Jar Jar Binks Show. I was fuckin pissed. He doesnt even act lame in this one. Natalie Portman is fine as hell.

I agree with nearly everything you said. You forgot "Cast Away" in the list of good Tom Hanks movies. That kicked ass. Although I dont believe Tupac was even close to being as good as most think he is musically, his acting was not bad at all. In fact, I'd go so far as to call him a 'decent' actor ("Gang Related", "Bullet", "Juice", "Above the Rim")

As physical actors, there are few people on earth better than pro wrestlers. As for actual roles, only time will tell. Mummy Returns didnt show us shit and I was dozing in and out during The Scorpion King because I hadnt slept the night before, so I dont remember too much of the movie.
