...but faster than dial-up? (not that I have much of a choice.)
Dialup is the slowest, its not as fast as traditional broadband but the issue is "IF you are mobile, is it faster to use the 'network' to get data rather than spending time to find a wifi hub or an access point to the internet"
THe answer is, most certainly YES!
If you are mobile, you never now where you are going to be at. I was covering three hospitals last year when I bought this and a few clinics. I never knew my schedule b/c schedules flex and change.
YOu can reach in your pocket pc and have an updated schedule as it "SYNCS" to your schedule every five minutes
So you can have a secretary change your schedule on the fly and its auto-updated.
Also, I mean really its amazing what you can do.
In my device I can access ALL of my data from any computer I own, anywhere.
I can never be without a file or even a song or video b/c it goes through the system eliminating the need for an Ipod, I have one but carrying a different gadget when I can access my whole audio selection at any time means not carrying an ipod at the gym and a cellphone.
Plus I have bluetooth cellphone headphones that interrupt the music if I have a phonecall.
Stuff is outrageously cool, but not for the faint of heart geekwise. You have to start with the basics and what your budget allows.
Many frustrated hours, but literally, it is the standalone difference in the coming future of a successful company. Well worth the investment, the skills you gain implementing this can mean than you can go anywhere
