actually that's pretty piss poor - mostly just grandstanding. Many lawyers can't help it, they want to feel "involved" when they are just agents.
why it sucks:
Lack of professional courtesy - if that is lawyer-to-lawyer, (I suspect it is) it will hasten the breakdown of the behind the scenes communications that get things done. If that is to the court, then the Judge is going to rebuke that jackass with the quickness.
as to grandstanding:
example: I get the impression as if the Court cares what the lawyer's impression is, or the other side is woried about the opposition's 'impression.'
Sadly, that looks like it belongs in the NY Post, rather than any legal proceeeding.
I would fire that guy.
I have 25 lawyers and would never let something like that go out.

Well - true.
You also didn't hear the threatening voice messges left nor read the threatening letters sent. (yah I know doesn't mean you have behave in the same manner)
What if someone called you up and told you, "If you continue to call me you'll have a 290lb nigger at your front door." That and many messages of the same nature are all saved.
Not exactly professional, classy or of "movin' on up" style.
Ultimately, outcome wise, I don't really care - I'm sucked into this because of my connection at the time.
Bottom line is there is no level or type of status that one should be allowed to behave like a belligerent animal.

You should turn around and sue them for giving you migraines. Dealing with people like that can only cause headaches.
