Who wants his own board?

Werd!! it should the "Titanium Members Section" a Titanium member would have more special stars or some flashy indicator. Also as Titanium, you would have access to the Titanium Section which has to do with source checks, questions, etc...

If Platinum is $9 a month, Titanium is $20 a month. We dont want every tom dick and harry in there. I would make your Titanium Memberships "by invitation only". Invitations must be issued by Mods and discussed on the Mod forums, but also inside the Titanium Section there should be a part where members can discuss other members regarding an invitation to this Group.

Word Is Bond ---->Excellent Idea

That Titanium Idea Kicks Ass ---> and you know it does!! Give me & Satch the credit and hook it up!! If Platinum is $9 a month, Titanium is $20 a month.

I would think that money would be only one of the factors for getting access to that board...

Don't we have this with Plat??

Not a good marketing idea....leaving membership up to mods and other members is a bad idea (if someone was not liked on the boards for whatever reason, they would not have any chance of getting in--which would no doubt lead to problems). G. Spell and EF want $$.. I doubt they would reject anyone at $20 a month. This ain't American Express.

Plat ranges from a few bucks per month to $11.97 per month....If EF was to do Titanuim, they would have to have direct links to sources, access to all ebooks (including my fav.."How to Get Laid" by G. Spellwin), and be sent personal nudes from Daisy. That is a good Titanuim deal for $20 per month....I think the idea sounds good but probably would not work..Plus, it would make the Plat membership look second rate...

When discussing how to get illegal substances via chat rooms, there will never be enough security over the internet..... :(

No this would be more like an "Exclusive Club" than a Plat membership.

That is the point of an invite Forum/Board. If you had been to a source board like Satch described, you would understand better. It is not like Plat, where you buy your way in. (Yes, you would pay more for this Titanium membership, but you have to be known and liked to get in and you still pay)

  • $12 a month buy 3 you get one free = 4mos <$36.00.
  • Surely no one pays one month at a time when they can buy 3 and get one free.
  • I have marked you down for one vote against Titanium.
  • Links to sources, ebooks, and personal nudes from Daisy isn't gonna happen.

THAT I would like to see, but at some level you still have to have some set of people who can validate 'certs' or the actual identies of the individuals. Say for instance someone gets busted and they conficscate their computer. Then LE uses the computer to log in. How is anyone assured of the individual on the other side?

I like this idea, what I'm not sure of is the representative value proposition for the extra cost, and how the security of the information and the users can be assured. It's not like everyone is running around with PGP keys to do key exchanges or personal certs. Then there is always the issue of a mole.

For me, mine would be the cardio board since we don't have an official one yet (see the petition on the training board).

I don't think a titanium section would work. IMO. I am all for supporting EF, but $20 a month. Maybe 15, but that would also have to include all features of plat as well. I would stay away from source checks via chat. Not a good idea.

Good Point. i dont think anyone is suggesting EF be responsible for the identity. by now, we all should know what types of things are stupid to say or do in public. Even on a private board, you still cant be an idiot. If it is secure in that, who gets in, then that is something.

I know that it it technically feasible to have encrypted chat one on one and encrypted chat rooms with known "users", but it still leaves one with the problem of a mole, or man-in-the-middle attacks.

Knowing some of this I think it would be important to delineate the value proposition for Titanium membership. I'm not against it, I'm just not sure I've seen enough "value" or perceived value to make it worth pursuing.

Even as I think of how to initiate a "masters board" for members 40 and up or 35 and up or whatever cut off is chosen, I have difficutly really pinpointing the very useful things that would make that board worth peoples time and effort.
