Who thinks 13 years is too big of an age difference for mates?

I don't see any problems as long as the girl in her 20's is matured and ready to settle down.

my parents are married and my dad is 11 years n about 3 months older than my mom...both are happy and everything is fine...and theyve been married over 20 years so that should remove any idea that age difference would make the 2 split apart as the relationship drifts on as many would think...i don't know i guess my dumb, irrelevan point is that my parents are an example of a double digit age diff. relationship that is still lasting and going well

How about a 27 year old with a 40 yr old who doesn't even make 50 grand? Who cares what society thinks anyways? Surely not I.

No. I'm not discussing your particular opinion, but societies opinion. The usual hesitation about this issue, society-wise, is less tempered when the older guy is richer. No one bats an eye when a 45 y/o millionaire actor marries a 23 y/o nobody hottie. In fact it's kinda expected.

My folks are 12 yrs apart and they love each other just as much as they did some 31 yrs ago...
btw, my dad's older.

I see nothing wrong with this situation....I think it's do'able. Obviously certain circumstances brought these two together...the rest is up to them
