On a serious note this whole interview deal is lestat's baby. He should remain in control of it. I asked for permission to do an interview over 6 months ago, but my first subject never followed thru. It wouldn't be cool, imo, for people to start interviewing left and right. It's his franchise.

Does it involve any special skills? Not really. You gotta basically be able to 1) pick interesting subjects 2) pick interesting questions 3) put it all together in a way that flows and doesn't leave the reader feeling like they just wasted time reading the damn thing.
The only reason it would be considered my franchise or baby is because I did the first one... it started out as a question and answer on a post with WODIN a while back.. then realized it would be better to do the interview first, then post it.
But is it rocket science? No. For me, it was a way to get a little something "real" out there. You know, learn a little bit about the person BEHIND the screen name,.. or go beyond the karma whoring posts, the nude pics, or what not. You'd be surprised how much you may have in common with someone or relate to, but never really asked because afterall this is an internet chat board, why would you both asking someone what their ethnicity is, or where they grew up, etc.
Feel free to give suggestions, or even volunteer yourself for interviews. I dropped the ball and took about a 6 month hiatus from doing any of these.. but I should be able crank out one a month or so... if I do to many too frequently, it will get stale and worthless.
I've got a subject for the next one lined up.. and I've got a whole list of other people I think the board will find interesting.
