Who owns NIKE Shox?

habitualhealth said:
I do and yes. I've actually never owned a pair of Nike's in my life. A friend of mine suggested them...bought a pair and a week later went for a 2nd pair.

I love them.

do you wear them with hose?

I do. Definitely worth it. I have improved my PL's and GA's in the high jump by 25% and mile lap by 15%. Great ankle stability and shocks have spring like features that uses your momentum to give you that added push.

You ever wear them in the gym?

With that design for the heel I would think they would suck to wear in the gym...for deads, squatting, etc.

haven't you seeen peeps sq with platform shoes?

Shoooo you know it. Fishnet actually.

Perhaps if i'd been wearing them a few weeks ago, I could have RAN to the kitchen faster to savour what was left of my poor potatoes. :(

lol i left the roast in the pot...I'm afraid to open the lid.
fuck I'll proly end up just pitching the pot and buying a new one.
the american way :)

Hell, yeah. They have a metallic silver appearance. I get a lot of questions on them. Gotta be careful of gangsta's though. They might try to jack you when you're walking back to the parking lot.

yeah i have had them for a while, they are comfy.

Don't waste your money, if they're just for looks go ahead and buy them.

But if you actually run or use them for training they suck, I had 2 pair both had shox that broke(ripped off more like).

I used the nike shox running shoes for running only, nothing else and both pair had a shox that ripped almost off.

any real athlete knows that Nike quality sucks for real training, they are all about looks.

Want some real shoes that actually perform, get some "New Balance" or "Mizuno".

i remember about 5 year ago paying 215 bux to have the first pair (white and a hint of grey) why did i pay 65 more then MSPR? well i bought them from nike town and they had the shit 4 months before other nike stores did they priced fuckd me.. worth it? hell ya best nikes out there.. i got a pair of nice asics that are more compfy now

Yeah sure and monkeys fly outta my ass every 15 seconds!

My newest pair is being delivered today-custom made off the website:) I think they are worth it. I trained hard in high school and could never find a pair of shoes that didn't end up hurting my feet or my shins. These things are awesome-no pain no matter what I'm doing!!

I have 2 different types.

The ones that have the shox's all across the bottom & the ones that have the shox's only on the heels. I like the 2nd ones better.

In my experience, they are good for running and walking. Wouldn't even think of squatting, push pressing, or deadlifting in them. Adidas Sambas work well for lifting.

What is a good shoe for a female teenager that is doing a lot of running offseason getting ready for the spring?

Good and has to be lightweight.

I hate them, but then again I have 2 per....I walk all day at my job and have had both heel shox rip away. The most comfy shoes I own are my asics gel. I have the adidas equivalent and they are much better IMO. The old school Nikes were way better, like the old Trainer SC and the Trainer TW and even the older Air Max, today it's about form for Nike more than function. Like the Nike Free, WTF??? 85 bucks for what??? They aint even got air pockets!!

Shox...great running shoes.

Since I will have to mortgage the house to buy them...will they hold up under the stress of constant ground impact from running? Probably will be running on asphalt.

I see no reason to get rid of my Aasics Gel Kayano's

Here's who the Nike Shox are recommended for:

Well-cushioned for Many Activities

Favorites of the high-mileage runner seeking a true cushioned trainer for medium to high arches and a small to medium frame.

* Upper with stretch-fit tongue plus the cord lace system ensures a great fit
* 4-column Shox platform cushions your ride
* Phylon midsole adds cushioning and durability

Either way I could get any running shoe at cost :)
