Who here uses a pocket PC?

Im waitin for the day you can get a pocket pc with wireless internet access for an affordable sum, like 300-400$ for the hardware and 30$ a month for wireless internet...I wonder what kind of privacy you have on them, because if you can read your elitefitness email on one of those, well, just think of the possibilities...

Its like a palm pilot, but they are making them more powerful, and more pc-like. Color screens, little hard drives I guess they are as powerful as regular pc's were 10 years ago, which is impressive in a pocket package.

I don't hvae a Pocket PC, but I have 2 Blackberries from Research in Motion (RIM) which do most of the same things a pocket PC will (to an extent).

I paid $500 for the devices (last December) and $60/month for airtime and wireless web service.

I can't live without them at all anymore.

I know a guy with one of those Sprint phones with email access, $400 phone and I think $60 a month.

eMail is too slow on those things, I work with computers but still avoid PDAs, can you imagine making a whole freaking email with a pointer stick? ick

One of the benefits of a Blackberry is that it has a keyboard, much easier than a pointer stick (which Palm is abandoning). I also receive my e-mail with 2 minutes of it being delivered to my company mail system (at least 2k of it).

Checking mail on a Palm would certainly blow away the phone I saw, 4 lines? ick... I've seen the Palm keyboards but never tried, I drive to work so it would be 'worthless' for someone like me for the most part.

IPAQ 3850 with a 128 meg Expansion card and great hi res graphics.

Wireless is waste of $ IMO due to the slow speed and cost.

I use it as a PDA, MP3 player and to carry pictures of the family to show off.
