See I have not had TV since 1972, only a Monitor and a DVD player, I quit watching TV, as soon as returned from Viet Nam,

Was a little crazy, then when I started to have kids, said for get it, now I have 4 grown daughters 19-23 and they lived in a house with no TV,


Just started getting the dvds at the library free, now I am up to season 5?


It is addictive, I will watch 2-3 episodes a night,


I know get a life,

I got home from work last night at about 9:30 and watched Jack Bauer save the free world until 11:00

So with that being said, parents are obligated to devote their life and income to their child until their kid decides to support him/herself??? Once again, this sense of entitlement is what absolutely blows my mind. 90% of the reason I don't have kids is that I wouldn't want them being influenced by kids like you that think they deserve the shit you are given.

Wait until you have kids of your own. How would you feel about your kid being 25 and sleeping under your roof for free while he was doing illegal drugs? And guess what? If you get busted for possession the cops can seize your parent's home/assets(cars, etc) and put a hold on their bank account since their name is on the mortgage. What happens then??? You all go live in Uncle X's house and become a burden to his family as well??? All because YOU couldn't wait to do AS AFTER moving out. Now that's some selfish shit.

I don't think it would quite pan out like that, but I DO see your point. I'm not saying this is gospel, I was giving my stance on the issue.

ALSO, (I just have to quote you again) this is called being intelligent and planning, NOT leeching! If I can dodge a $1500/mo apt payment, I will do so until I have enough savings to put a down payment on a house. Otherwise I might as well flush that money down the toilet because I am too self-righteous to live with "mommy and daddy" (because that is all renting is). I hate to condescend, but this is so elementary.

PLUS, my yearly cellphone payment is larger than my yearly gear bill, its not like I'm some maniac 3g/weeker.

Does anybody else get the impression that zk7 is laughing the whole time he's typing this? I think he's just bored and stays up late and posts to get a rise out of people for his own amusement, I really do - I really think only a third of what he writes is his actual opinion and the other two thirds is him just being controversial/stupid for fun. I was just wondering if anybody else was picking up on that, or is it just me? I mean, you have to admit, some of that shit he writes is funny just cuz it's so fuckin stupid... I cracked up like 3 times on this post reading his shit.

I agree.
I hope that's not how he really thinks.
And no he is not the poster child for gen x, but I do know alot of people that age w/ similiar thought.
