I love Mava

i do sometimes....depends on how much money i got in the bank at the end of the month for rent and stuff then i go shopping:)

i dunno....i just buy shit...

like today at lunch for instance, i bought a pair of 140 dollar jeans.....and a belt....and....

I live pretty much second by second.

I sort of do at the moment, but it is up to any individual to change their life and financial situation if it is not to their liking, no-one else will do it for you.

Well, I guess I technically don't since I do a bi-weekly budget where I log all the income & expenses in columns -- literally everything. However, I pay *us* first as a bill so we have $X.xx in savings per pay then whatever is left over we get to spend after the other bills are paid.

However for the pay period ending today, we've been on punishment as we went out too much in previous periods.....

And yes, we have a buffer in our checking account, so I don't even go by the balance there.

$20 for a small buffer... not bad... see I told you Sears had them cheap.

That actually reminds me, we need more bonnets for our buffer..... The truck is gonna need a wax job before winter....

I like the idea of a buffer...but hey I like the idea of looking like I am 30 again but lack the will power to accomplish either :mix:

Nah, I have to say that I don't. Honestly I hardly bother to budget either, but then I don't go shopping unless I absolutely need something, except for food. I pretty much just squirrel money away and pay the bills every month without even needing to check if I have enough money or not, because I already know I have more than enough saved up.

I've always been real good at managing my money and living within my means while still making sure I save plenty for the future. The key is to not buy little frivalous shit you don't really need.

Did you forget that I am an accountant?

I work constantly when I'm not at the gym. I make pretty good money but I'm always broke and I don't buy anthing... Odd how that happens. If I had to guess I would say my girl spends all my money but I'm not sure on what.

I'm on the second to second list.

Just bought a house this year. Between that, supplements and food, and tuition. Im pretty much living each week by last week.

I work seasonally, and thought i had enough for a downpayement and to go to school without working during the year. I was right. I do. But it sucks. Im so tight for cash right now, never get to do any of the stuff I want to. Like im cashing in all my IOU's when i go out to the bars just to get cover. Then usually i skip on the booze.

Im gettin a job.

I'm a habitual horder of money so the answer to your question is no.

There was this one time in my life where suddenly had debt, car payment, just moved and cleaned out the money I had for rent and secutity and I had to sit down and figure out what bills I could pay. That drama lasted about 4 months until I was able to catch up monitarily.

We spend more than our income every month. This has been happening for a long time now. It`s a matter of time that we go bankrupt, unless something changes.

At one point we were spending $5000 more per month than our income. Its a lot lower now, but STILL more.

If I ever disappear, you`ll know I got a job.

or lost my internet connection. haaaaaa

!

I'd have an ulcer, I'm hysterical when I break even.

I'ver learned to budget so well now that I'm back in school full time. When I was single and 19 I was making 50 grand a year, lived rent free and was still broke all the time. Seriously, i would have 20 grand in the bank, and withint 4 weeks it would be under $1000 again. I live on maybe $10K a year right now believe it or not.

LOL

Unfortunately yes, but not by choice. That's the arrangement my bookies made with me

They're alkl like "do you have what ytou owe us", and Im all like "this is all I got", and they're all like "Ill let it slide this time, but we want the rest next week. Im not fucking kidding. Find the money or your dead"

Its a vicious cycle.

no wonder u sold your house :)

I used to live paycheck to paycheck. It sucked.

Recently, my income has increased so as long as I dont go hog wild, I can spend money freely.

I try to mellow out for a bit by not going out, but it gets boring and before I know it, I'm back at it again.

week by week? Heck I live day by day. It's frightning!

Step by step
Day by day
A fresh start over
A different hand to play
The deeper we fall
The stronger we stay
And we'll be better
The second time around

Step by step
Day by day (Day by day)
A fresh start over
A different hand to play
Only time will tell
But you know what they say
We'll make it better
The second time around

Well if you ever do go berserk........ welcome. lol jk For some reason it`s not bothering me. I have a calm about myself. Nerves of steel.

I have to go now, I`m making a sign... "Will work for food"

i know the feeling, hate living paycheck to paycheck. sucks being a broke college student. i need a sugar daddy again. why oh why did my mom raise me with morals. if she hadn't i would be married to a man worth way to much, that didn't want me to work, just stay home have a couple of kids, buy whatever i want, do whatever i want. but not me. wouldn't except all the expensive gifts, and want an education, and want to work. and most of all want love and not to be a trophy wife.

why mom why?

These days I have no problem covering bills, expenses, etc...but I still find myself doing stupid money-saving things like saving all the ketchup packs when I eat at McDonalds. Hey, a bottle of Hienz costs $3.00, and that's $3.00 more than I've had in my wallet on many occasions - old habbits die hard.

I'm not the only one who does this, right?

Well not sure how it is in US, but in Canada most of us, if we didn't have parental support have studentloans. Add rent, car payments, insurance, utilities.. etc.. man.. it all adds up

I'm an idiot, I have a good opportunity to save at the moment, but I go out drinking at bars, eating out a lot, spend money taking my gf out etc. so I have very little.

Well, I don't save single serving ketchup packs, but I do most of my food shopping at Sam's club. I always try to buy things for the best price I can possibly get; food, clothes, cars, house stuff, anything. My ex-wife would have no problem buying a few 5 lb bags of cat food for $1.10 per lb, where I would buy the large 40 lb bulk bag for $.78 per lb. Little savings like that from week to week add up REAL fast.
