Who here get migraines?

and what do you do for them? I have been on the verge of one all day and I have taken 3 ibuprophens (sp?) and a pain pill co-worker had and it is still nagging at me.

wow... I get them very intense. If its the beginning of one, I normally take a BC powder and some rest. If it gets worse I end up having to take a prescription medication (imitrex and phenegan sp? )

When they come on strong for me work is a no go at all... its home, lights out no sound at all. I can't tolerate even a pin drop without pain. I've had them last a week or more at times.

oh that is so how I get them but I was already at work and now stuck. Everyone that looks at me ask me if I have a headache, you can just tell from my eyes I guess! If it doesn't get better I won't even be able to drive home.

You need an abortive - usually a triptan.
Have you been to a doctor about it? Any other symptoms?

I take zomig or amerge - I have to switch them ever 6 months or so.

Do you all think your migranes are due to unresolved psychological problems (similiar to some people's back pain) or biological in origin?
