I Told You So ...
EF VIP
I'm looking for input from people in relationships, specifically.

Now when I'm talking "MOST" I don't mean individual items. Excluding big ticket items, like cars, and mutual use items, like the kitchen or sofa, who has the most volume of stuff in your relationship? I've been married twice, and both times the husband has beaten me two to one, easily, between tools ("but I need them") toys ("but I like them") and "collectibles," ("but it will be valuable some day") my "stuff" (things like clothing, jewelery, books) has ended up trimmed down and packed into the smallest amount of space I could manage.

So fess up people, be honest, the poll is anonymous and you don't need to comment, who has the most overall STUFF in your relationship?

lol at already starting the undertones of "men are evil, women are innocent victims"

We should just have a huge EF menz vs EF womins brawl to the death one day. Maybe on Christmas

2015???

WTF are you talking about victimization for? MM was only relaying her personal experiences and wondering if they were specific to her situation or if this was a gender-type thing, sorta like cars and video games being on the Y chromosome.

In my first marriage my ex had waaaaaaaaaaaaay more EVERYTHING as it was his world and I was only "allowed to breathe in it".

In my current marriage the only reason I have more stuff is due to

1. The last bitch walked off with/sold/gave away most of his stuff.
2. We were broke when we married and until we get to be where the lawyers' aren't our primary source of expenses he wants ME to have whatever I want.
3. He MAKES ME buy anything I see... LOL Talk about having the tables turned!

Once we get to a point where our finances/investments are a bit more secure I have no doubt that we will be a family with all sorts of stuff - equal on both ends. :) Actually, I think the kids will have THE MOST! :lmao:

My husband would agree- HE DOES! Guns, classic cars, and drag racing are his "hobbies". We do not have one garage, we have several! His "stuff" has grown outta control.

Do I mind? Nope, he can have his "stuff" as long as I can get my car into ONE of the garage spaces. However, it's kinda embarrassing to leave the garage doors open...EEE GADS!

The majority of my stuff that is absolutley mine is my computer and the desk it sits on, the Entertainment Center my Grandfather built me for the TV my Dad bought me on Christmas when my wife and I were engaged and living together. I'd keep that thing no matter what.

If you want to consider jewelery then she out numbers me by at least 30 to 1. Clothes? Well, she has two suitcases for winter clothing and summer clothing plus part of her closet because she doesn't have another suitcase. Books? I owned around 6, she packed in from her parents old house around 30 that she read during high school, to read again. Even DVD wise she beats me 5 to 1.

I've been wearing the same pair of shoes for over 2 years now, she has around 30-40 pairs. Some she has never even worn, and probably never will.
