Who eats before going to bed? And what do you eat?

I am wondering what is most benneficial to eat before bed, or if it is better to not eat at all.

I am assuming carbs arent good becasue they inhibit gh release. But what do you guys take, IE protein suppliments fats, and how much?

What is the best to eat to burn some fat while sleeping, or will this kill muscle too/

Depends on the day and my workout on the day and if im training the day after in the morning

Some nights i will eat Chicken or tuna with oatmeal and some nights i will have a protein blend shake with nat pb or cottage cheese with cinnamon, splenda and pb

THick casein shake with skim.........some veggies..........and PEANUTS by the handfull! <---- lol......my fav. meal of the day!

1.5 scoop customizer blend flavorless
1 huge tbsp GPlenish
2 tbsp of: extra v. olive oil/flax/fish oils
plus a few other things, but they do not constitute food :o
Man, the taste is uber savory, this is for all you hurmans - consume this shake and you wouldn't want to eat anything for a at least a few hours straight :p
OR a nice juicy steak/fish steak with cheese and lotsa spices :p

depends if It's a workout day or not, if cutting or bulking

When cutting I eat a tablespoon of oil and 50g protein from chicken

When bulking

non workoutdays, tablespoon oil, 60-70g protein
workoutdays, 50g carbs from oatmeal and 50-60g protein from chicken + 5g fat. If I gain some fat of this it doesn't matter, I rahter eat more and be able to gain mass than the oposite

cottage cheese
protein shake (slow release) with ANPB or a hanful of nuts
Chicken breast with a slice of yogurt cheese.

Borg, borg, borg...you got a lot to learn my friend...........not smart to say something so itellectually brilliant in one of your initial posts............cmon brother...........read up.

No one person is authority when it comes to things like individual's energy partitioning properties - it depends upon too many factors ranging from genetic to environmental :o
Eating carbs before bed does not necessarily induce adipogenesis, but it would be wiser to opt for fat+protein meal for it sustains energy provision longer and more efficiently than carbs :martini:

depends on many factor........goals, when you train......your caloric intake throughout the day...activity level.....etc..........

i just recently started cutting my carbs after about 9 or so. I am bulking, but i gain too much fat always, so now i am trying to taper my meals off at the end of the day. Is there even a point of eating protien and fat before going to bed, or will it be better to not eat immediatly before bed to try to give your body time to burn the fat you have stored throughtout the day.

Your body is pretty tricky about maintaining homeostasis (e.g., it wants to keep itself at set level of bodyfat). In all honesty, I don't think that the timing of carb intake will be as important (in the long run) as the amount of daily carbs consumed.

It's fine to plan your meals so that the majority of carbs are consumed in the day, and eating fat and protein at night is certainly not a horrible idea. But your body won't magically start to burn fat in the evening so don't get tooooo stressed about the time of day. Establish a daily calorie limit, space your meals out evenly and you should be fine.

Afraid not...common misconception. Now I'm not saying that isn't the case in certain situations...but you can't generalize like that.

Any carb you eat before bed store directly as fat.

ya Im cutting quite hard at the moment,I havent been able to get dextrose yet, once I do I will switch it to a shake with dextrose, but for now that gives me my carb feed after I lift and the protein to get my numbers up there,1 cup is 30g pro so Im happy with it
