Who Do You Trust?

Think about this question for a second. Its difficult to answer if you look at it in a "100% pure Trust Aspect". Pure trust is total faith and the capability to depend on another when in need or distress in regards to a situation that may require whatever. I believe I can actually say that I have maybe 3-4 people I sincerely trust, some family, some friends. Trust is rare. Let me rephrase "100% Pure Trust" is rare. Trust as with the word love is often misused, so when you answer this question, think first, because the person you may think has your back and that you lay trust in most likely when the nitty gritty comes around won't. People are out for themselves, you folks know this, however, its just too damn prevalent in this day and time. My suggestion is this: Be someone somebody else can trust, its one hell of an attribute in my opinion. peace

There are a few people I would put 100% trust in. IMO, I can trust people to be people and nothing beyond that. What I mean is if things get extreamly adverse then I trust no one, other than that, yeah I think I can strust a few people.

If you ever get the chance watch the HBO mini-series Band of Brothers, that is the definition of trust.

Good topic.

I spent my life with a 'don't trust anybody' attitude and I must say personally the best thing I have done is trust myself.

What I mean is when I trust myself I tend to give others around me the benefit of the doubt, trust them and they know they can trust me.

It just gets alot easier. As far as when the times get tough and you find out who the real people in your life are, well that stuff happens regardless so I don't sweat it very long anymore. They have to look at themselves in the mirror every morning and live with their own decisions, I have enough of my own to make to worry too much about that.

Right, Band of Bros is good. Don't get me wrong here folks. If I cannot trust someone completely then that does not mean that I dislike or hate them, not at all actually, just means I can't depend on them, having someone who you can trust is important and a blessing. peace

My family, my training partner and my "best" friend. That's about it. Having a trustworthy and loving family is one of greatest assests there is.

I have many aquaintances and I can count on my right hand my true friends in this world, 2 of which I am related to.

I am not difficult to get along with in life, but I demand loyalty so that is another thing which like trust is hard to come by today with people.

See it's that depend on part that I have trouble with and I'm speaking only from my personal experience in life, but I have never met anyone I could depend on 100%.

Think about it, let's say that you accidently get accused of something really heinous like child molestation and are eventually exohnerated. For some people no matter what, that stigma is going to stick with you. There are plenty of fools to suffer in this world that live by the guilt by assocation rule.

So ask yourself who would stick with you and have faith in you under that situation then you will know who knows you and who you can trust.

I'd say I have about 3-4 peeps I can trust all the way. Your topic reminds me of that line,

Friends help you move. Real friends help
you move bodies.

Now I must take a few puffs of some salvia divinorum and transcend this dimension.

I used to trust my ex 100% .....now all of my deepest fears and human frailties that I exposed to him have been mockingly shared with MANY others. But it's ok because in the end, it is making me stronger.

I trust my sister and 4 close friends 98%. It isn't that I think they would hold anything that I shared with them against me, it is just that I do not want to burden them with EVERYTHING. They have stuck by me NO MATTER how bad things have been for me. And Yes, I DO KNOW what it is like to have my character questioned, smeared and put on trial - literally.

I haven't given up though. I still believe that someday I will find someone again that I can trust 100%.....until then, I am quite satisfied with the gifts (family and friends) that I have been given.

That's a tough question. Not one I'm sure I can answer right now. I think I'm more in Wodin's camp than anything else right now...

Yeah I trust my dog also....its a tuff thing.

Kinda like letting someone else walk around with your heart in thier hands......who do you trust not to leave it sitting on the table next to the bong.

Fuk off to work....I trust that my luck is always bad and I prevail thru hard work and gut that made of lead.

I trust people to an extent depending on the situation and the person. Certain people can be relied on to do certain things. I know that last statement is vague, but if you think about it, there are people you know who are good at things or share the same passion for whatever it is that you do. As far as 100%, that would only be reserved for my family. THey are the only ones who have proved that they would do anything for me time and time again. Even family has to earn trust like that. They did. I am fortunate to at least have them.

Absolutely!!

Ask people how many friends they have, and they will say
dozens, but when you get down to it there are usually only
a handful of people you can truly trust, and count on.

Yep, I'm the same way. I trust most people about 70% untill they give me a reason to trust them more...or less.

Sadly, I don't trust anyone 100%, but that's just me being the paraniod fucker I am. :)

Most friends/family, I'd say I trust about 90%-97%.

I trust myself 98%, as I realize I'm not perfect. Sometimes I let myself down.

Great Topic

Who can you trust in this world. I use to trust my ex with at least my heart, got burned. I trust my family, but they have also burned me, in some aspects. Trust my boys, but not 100%, people are people.

I guess a put my total trust in three people then

1)God, I trust he is always there
2)Myself
3) and my Dog, yes mans best friend, how many things out there would truely give up there life for you.

I have 100% trust in 3 people...

God
My grandmother
My best friend

I know they are all there for me when I need them, and that is a very comforting feeling, IMO.

I would say that many, many people are not deserving of trust.
I have been burned more then a few times by "FRIENDS".
The older I grow t becomes clear that the "Circle of trust" is very very small.

I don't even trust in myself. I know there will be times in life when I let myself down, So when it happens, if I don't count otherwise, it won't be too heartbreaking.

the only thing I trust in is death.
death never lets anyone down.

I love that series. Is without a doubt the best war show ever. I met Bill Gaurnere. Hes a cool old man.

I can say I only trust about 3 people 100%.
