Who can recommend a good coffee maker for under 100.00?

Looking to get an automatic drip. It doesn't have to have a bunch of bells and whistles; just a timer so I can set it the night before. Krup, Cuisinart, Braun, you name it. There's so many. Any suggestions?

get one of those friggin wal-mart ones that are made by mr. coffee. . .cheap AND effective. . .the real key to good coffee is fresh, small batches. . .no more than 4 cups at a time, and if it ain't gone in 10 minutes, dump it and make another. . .

get a Bunn, they make awesome coffee in less time than any of the others.

i got my parents one for christmas one year like almost 10 years ago, and it just tore up in the past 2 years

Sign up for Gevalia coffee on the internet. The coffee is delicious and they send you a free coffee pot, a good one too.

see above, bunn is a great simple and long lasting coffee maker. Cuisinart or hamiltan beech makes a good one as well. Stop drinking this pansy drip crap and get an espresso machine.

I know you asked for one with automatic timer (this one dont come with one LOL) but I thought I would share.

I tried that route last time. I got a B&D from wally world for 17.00. It lasted about 6 months. Also, I'm convinced a better quality maker will brew better coffee. We go to this resturaunt that makes the best coffee IMO and they gave me some to take home one time. When I made it at home it wasn't near as good as when they made it.

Oh I KNOW there is a difference in the quality of brands. Not even going to try to say that my 5$ maker would hold a candle to a higher quality piece of equipment. But for the <5$ I paid for this thing, even if it only lasts me 5 months it will have been well worth it.

You could get yourself a french press. You won't have a better cup of coffee. Bunn is good and fast, I think the one I have is a Cuisinart and I really like it. No timer, bells or whistles. The pot is insulated like a thermous, so it doesn't need or have heat under it, so the coffee never tastes burnt.

What's the hurry though? I have a coffee maker in my office and the first thing I do after my workout is get a pot going. When I get back from the shower that puppy is still a-brewin' and I can smell it as I come down the hallway.
