Some doubts but I figure we're stuck with it......I've done my fair share of whining about a certain person so I'm gonna try and be all mature now.
And if I still cant deal with it, I'll do like Bikinimom suggested and take off to another site. This place is free afterall.

At the end of the day the decisions have been made. I cant see any of the decisions being overturned unless alot of people email George to complain. I'm sure George will be happy to justify the decisions. the alternative is enough people leave to make others see the point.
I like this site too. But sometimes walking away is the only answer.
What some people dont realise is this. On some boards you get laughed at for even mentioning Elite (apparently this place is full of 16 year olds flaming each other). Giving the title of mod to people without support from the general users will only support this view.

I learned alot with this site about everything... I´ve been here for over one year but i only registered myself last January... I still think its the best board you can find in the internet, and it´ll improve alot i think, just not wih these mods...

Ahh shut the fuck up Varnsen!!! Does your life depend on who the moderators of this fucking board are?
id be lying of i said i didnt have doubts.....
but
i think some of the boards were very good choices. training for one. back doc was a good choice but since i never go to his board that sucks. hmmm. i am suprised though that some of the older members didnt get mod status yet, unless they just didnt want it? still i think a board like between the sheets has far too many mods, whereas a board like training has only one, and sports has none! (ok...so it aint that popular...but sheesh! )
still....we'll have to see how it pans out, hopefully it'll be all good in which case there will be no problem. i only used to come here for training, so im not gonna stop just cos of other boards...

This will end in a few hours... Its just the "heat of the moment" as some fellar said earlier...

The whole point is this:
1.) This is Not a democracy. George has full control of the board, generally listens to users....but when it comes down to the line, he's responsible for the hardware/software. No one's going to call Varnsen or Bouncer when/if something goes wrong.
2.) George has no reason to justify his choices.
George has a good board, I enjoy it. I question the Method used to pick mods, but I support them fully.
I'm sure Ryan is a mod simply to cause This kind of reaction. It's fun, and let's face it...its a chat board.
Not like we asked Ryan to be sys admin or be in charge of National secrets.

Chesty I'm surprised at you being so thin skinned about this. Although there's been alot of things said this past two days regarding the selection of the new mods there's still one common theme running through them, Ryanh's nomination to this board. I feel sorry for some of the new mods, jesus chesty you should know I for one would agree with your nomination.
It's a pity some of you guy's are being tarred with the same brush as RyanH, but it's happening. Ride out the storm for awhile.
Peaches like I said yesterday I don't (or did'nt have) a problem with your nomination. I only remember you from the Superdave episode and at the time I gave you me support and told Dave what I though of him. However if you could hold back your immature side awhile you'll be accepted here also.
On this board the nominations are generally for the good. However I use other forums on elite also, a favorite of mine is the gear picture's and discussion boards, the nominations there took me by surprise. I know most people who post there on a regular basis and so was surprised by 3 nomination to that board. When I done a search for their contributions to the board I found 1 had none !, and 2 had only 3 and 4 respectively.
Before someone says I should bring this up on those boards, those boards are not for idle chat and conversation this one is.

In this particular forum I think the selcetion of moderators is fair and well balanced, Warik and RyanH for example are pretty much from opposite ends of the political/ideological spectrum - on the some of the other boards however I think we could use a few more moderators.

I only noticed this now: Peaches has only been here since May... How can anyone agree with her nomination? She says that she needs a chance... Well its not our choice calm down there wont be a revolution... But then almost everyone deserves a chance... I truly think that George has said the moderators to pick some 6/7 ladies from the board and the final three names were picked from a hat as bouncer said...
